22.01.2022 A Pet Portrait that I completed last week that's a little different from my usual! My customer Bec wanted to give her partner a painting of their dog Nala for his birthday. The background of the photo was special to them because it was taken on their favourite part of their property that they had just built a home on together. This is the first time I've completed a Pet Portrait with a background (I used to be really into painting landscapes but haven't done many in a ...while!). I think this turned out beautifully. The colours looked much better in person, but thats always the case with trying to show my work through social media. Christina's cousin's baby was due to be born a few weeks after she placed the order with me, so we worked together to come up with a beautiful design. This is based off a photo that the couple had taken whilst pregnant, I just changed the beautiful pregnant belly for a little baby. The lavender was added as it is one of Gemini's flowers.
