21.01.2022 On my cutting table is a whole heaps of stuff to do but today I just feel like eating leftover Easter eggs and watching Veronica Mars 1. Baste and quilt my vintage sheet quilt with those awesome vintage flannel sheets. 2. Bind my #brontesstarsquilt with the best black and white striped fabric.... 3. 20.01.2022 Another quilt that has recently returned from being in shops is my #harlequinstarsquilt that was made back in 2011. The Stars are pieced using the Freezer paper method of foundation piecing and then put together using a drunkard’s path shape. There are 400 flying geese blocks in the border but they come together quickly using a method that makes 4 at a time. Now I didn’t quilt this one, it was expertly done by @vjquilts and it really makes the quilt.... The fabrics are mostly @kaffefassettstudio with some other small coordinates mixed in. I still really really love this quilt and I think it shows as I have made it three times! This is definitely not a beginner quilt but if you feel like a challenge this might be the quilt for you. 12.01.2022 My Australis Blooms quilt has been living in shops since it was made and it’s so nice to have it back home. It’s another one on my washing list and in line for some outdoor photos. The quilt was made with my 2nd range of fabrics, #terraaustralis2 and features raw edge appliqué and simple piecing. 06.01.2022 I’m in love This vintage sheet quilt top is everything and I’m so happy I decided on colourwashing the squares. It’s better than I thought it was going to be and I can’t wait to start quilting......once I finish a thousand other things. I told you my new clothesline was not much chop but it will have to do for the moment. I also had to take down some temporary plastic orange fencing. We are trying to fix up our lawn and we top dressed a section and the only way to stop th...e cats using the fresh soil as a toilet was to fence it off! The vintage sheet charm squares are from the @thecraftysquirrel and although she’s out of stock, more will be available soon.
