24.01.2022 To all of my Dearest Emma Louise Hair and Beauty Clients, It is with this email, that I really close a chapter of my life once and for all. Emma Louise Hair and Beauty has shut its doors, and is officially closed for business. Originally opened in June 2012 ELHB was co-founded by myself and my great friend Angela. It was between us that we started and fostered my dream salon for 8 years. Over these years we have had the pleasure of working with so many gorgeous stylists, ma...ny whom have become lifelong friends. We would like to thank them all for their commitment. With my health, I’m currently fighting a good fight and hanging in there! Since being re diagnosed In January my disease has progressed and taken over a lot of my bones causing a great deal of pain and discomfort but the good days are still out weighing the bad and I have my beautiful family keeping my spirits high and my smile large .. I’m positive I can beat this and annoy everyone for a lot longer And because of the above, closing the salon for good, and spending my time focussing on my health and my family is my priority. 09.01.2022 It is with great sadness that I write this post. Em,who is loved by so many of you, got some heart breaking news over the last few weeks. As many of you are aware Em fought breast cancer at age 25. She went through a lumpectomy, double mastectomy & reconstruction, endured intense chemotherapy, radiation & years of hormone therapy/cancers blockers where she was told she may not ever carry her own children. She is now 34 with two beautiful children, 4 yr old Mya & 18 month old... Ryan who are my niece & nephew. Unfortunately Em has been given the news that her breast cancer has metastasised & has returned in her spine, ribs, lymph nodes & a vast area of her liver. It has been a real heart wrenching time for her & all of our family. She now has a very long road ahead of treatments and medical intervention, surgical procedures, medical trials & so forth. At this stage Em, herself won’t be returning to Emma Louise Hair any time in the near future & is looking at other options such as selling the business. Em & her family feel it is most important to focus on her health at this time & help her overcome this chronic disease. This has been the hardest decision for Em as ELH&B has been a dream come true. 06.01.2022 Personal Post If you didn’t know, us girls at ELH&B not only love colouring, styling and creating incredible hair, we are also extremely passionate about helping and looking after cancer patients’ hair and skin after treatment, and anything we can help with during. Most of us girls have either experienced going through it ourselves or known someone close to us that has gone through it. This morning I trimmed and tidied a young, beautiful ladies hair that was 2 months passed... finishing chemo and radiation, she was full of life, happy, vibrant, and so amazingly positive! Her smile, and most generous delivery a couple of hours after, reminded us all that the greatest wealth is our health... both physically, and mentally! #cancerawareness go for a walk, soak up the sunshine, dive into the ocean, get your boobs checked, have that prostate checked, see your GP for a yearly examine and take a break when you need it! 01.01.2022 Tears flow as I write this post, and my heart feels heavy, but also so happy remembering all the amazing life long memories The day has come that the doors of Emma Louise Hair and Beauty are closed for the last and final time... It has been the most incredible 8 year journey and I’ve loved every up and down of ELH&B... not only have I met some of my most favorite girls, staff and clients (that have now become friends for life) it was also a place everyone loved! Every up m...emory brings the biggest smiles to my face and every small down time has taught me lessons along the way! Emma Louise Hair and Beauty was a dream of mine made into reality and every time I walked into that salon I was proud to call it my home, a home of a little family I loved dearly! The back room antics, the happy faces of clients, everything about that place had the most incredibly warm spot in my heart and forever will! Thank you to all the team over the amazing 8 years, ELH&B wouldn’t of been the success and loving place it was without every single one of you!! Thank you to Ang for helping make my dream come true and creating the reality of a salon that was loved by so many! Thank you to Dave for being the man behind the computer running all the accounts I never really understood, Thank you to every single client that walked in the doors and supported us throughout the years, those doors wouldn’t have stayed open without you all! Your incredible smiles made our jobs so easy! ELH&B wasn’t just a salon it was a home for such a big family! Not only did we all get to witness Lashes by Ely and M.K. Skin and Beauty thrive, it was an absolute pleasure working along side them! 2020 started off very unexpectedly and I have laid pretty low after the news of my declined health, I’ve got a fight ahead and with that being said I need to put every ounce of energy into getting myself healthy but unfortunately that comes at the cost of saying goodbye to the most loved salon ... I will be forever grateful of my 8 years of ELH&B and more so for the absolute dedication of the 2 amazing ladies that have held that place together the last couple of months and the incredible amount of help from clients, friends, ex staff and family to get it by until now! It’s definitely not goodbye as so many of you are following my the journey of healing em account on insta and I enjoy so much still chatting to you all it really puts a smile on my face ...
