25.01.2022 DECEPTION no 8 If we say that we have no sin, we DECEIVE ourselves, & the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:8-9 ... John writing here is challenging us to be very honest with ourselves. Some times we are so concerned with devils outside but we need to be aware of the possibility of strong holds being within us that God wants to break. Repentance is coming before God personally and asking Him to search us out and see what changes need to be made. It is admitting we need Him to continually monitor our attitudes and motives. Critical spirits, unbelief, unthankfulness and hardness of heart block the power of God. God is a God of the heart. As believers we have to guard our heart and keep it free from embracing negativity. How gracious God is , to forgive us , when we truly repent. Jesses du Plantis says about sin:- Admit it, Quit it and Forget it. How powerful is the blood of Jesus to cleanse us from ALL unrighteousness. Admitting sin is difficult for most believers . We want to blame someone else but as David said in Psalm 51:3 For I know my transgressions; And my sin is ever before me. it was his sin and his transgression. One thing most believers find difficult , is to forgive themselves especially if it is a public shaming. Paul must have had a great revelation of the grace of God as he visited church groups and saw family members of those he had hailed into prison and given orders to be killed. He described himself as the chief of sinners. He understood he was a new creation when he was converted . Wherefore if any man is in Christ, he is a new creature: the old things are passed away; behold, they are become new. 2 Cor. 5:17 We are exhorted to walk in the light as He is in the light. Just as sunlight shows up every speck of dust so the light of the Holy Spirit reveals every trace of spiritual foreign matter for us to deal with by confessing it and receiving forgiveness and grace to overcome the weight that so easily besets us. May His truth reign in us. His Word is truth . For the word of God is living, and active, and sharper than any two-edged sword, and piercing even to the dividing of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and quick to discern the thoughts and intents of the heart. Hebrews 4:12

24.01.2022 PLANTED They that are planted in the house of the Lord ;They shall flourish in the courts of our God. They shall still bring forth fruit in old age; They shall be full of sap and green:. Psalms 92:13-14 What a wonderful promise to believers as they begin their spiritual journey that they will still be fruitful in maturity. The secret is to be planted in the house of God. This means you get a foundation in your life of the word of God.and learn to become account...able to someone higher than yourself. I was saved as a teenager and became part of a Sunday School where I was taught the Bible stories. My whole life was involved with the church assembly. I love the church and for it there is no replacement. I bloomed where I was planted. As I matured the Bible stories became enriched with Biblical principle and inspired my life tremendously. As a pastor one account that had an impact on me was that of Anna the prophetess who was planted in the house of the Lord. And there was one Anna, a prophetess, the daughter of Phanuel, of the tribe of Asher (she was of a great age, having lived with a husband seven years from her virginity, and she had been a widow even unto fourscore and four years), who departed not from the temple, worshipping with fastings and supplications night and day. And coming up at that very hour she gave thanks unto God, and spake of him to all them that were looking for the redemption of Jerusalem. Luke 2:36-38 That has been the motivating force in my life ie telling people about Jesus . The Message Bible says Anna burst into song when she saw the baby Jesus. Even in old age she was spiritually, full of sap and green. The church is a family. It is an assembly not just a gathering where people do not relate to each other. Each one is exhorted to :- Wherefore exhort one another, and build each other up, even as also you do. 1 Thess. 5:11. Some believers say assembling is not important but how can you exhort and build someone up if you stay home!!! The early church were planted in the house of God. And they continued stedfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers. Acts 2 BLOOM WHERE YOU ARE PLANTED !

22.01.2022 PRIDE ( Hindrance to revival) Definitions :- 1. It is the quality or state of being proud, as in inordinate self-esteem or conceit, or a reasonable or justifiable self-respect or delight or elation arising from some act, possession, or relationship (such as parental pride).... 2. Pride is also defined as proud or disdainful behavior or treatment. 3. Pride is is an ostentatious display. Some signs it is evident in us:- 1. Independent- superiority/ inferiority 2. Easily offended- hurt pride 3. Fear of being known as you really are 4. Have to exhibit control 5. Opinionated about everything. Pride relies on competition Now these things, brethren, I have in a figure transferred to myself and Apollos for your sakes; that in us you might learn not to go beyond the things which are written; that no one of you be puffed up for the ONE AGAINST THE OTHER . 1 Cor4:6 Gal 6:3, 4 For if a man thinks himself to be something when he is nothing, he deceives himself. But let each man prove his own work, and then shall he have his glorying in regard of himself alone, and not of his neighbor. UNSPIRITUAL The unspiritual display in what is seen 11 Cor 5:12, We are not again commending ourselves unto you, but speak as giving you occasion of glorying on our behalf, that you may have wherewith to answer them that glory in appearance, and not in heart. PRIDE IS SIN Proverbs 21:4,24 Haughty eyes and a proud heart, the lamp of the wicked, are sin! The proud and haughty man, scoffer is his name; He worketh in the arrogance of pride. The proud and arrogant man--"Mocker" is his name; he behaves with overweening pride. 1. Pride relies on competition or comparing one to another 2. All are tempted by pride 3. Servant leadership is the model Christ portrayed for us. Jesus said if you want to be great - be a servant. Pride was the first sin and it brought mankind great sorrow. It was introduced to earth by Satan and snared Eve then Adam. Sadly, it may be the last sin for many who deny Christ and refuse to surrender to the Lordship of Jesus Christ. As a Christian we are totally dependant on Gods amazing grace. When we repent our heart softens and then we begin to grow into the image of Jesus , by the leading and guiding of the Holy Spirit . We learn how liberating it is to forgive, not to take offence and that the Lord in us must have the glory as He works in us and through us. Paul said I have been crucified with Christ ;and it is no longer I that lives but Christ that lives in me, and that life which I now live in the flesh, I live in faith , in the Son of God , Who loved me and gave Himself up for me Gal 2:20 . Our ugly flesh sometimes referred to as the old man has to die daily! UNTO HIM (JESUS ) BE GLORY IN THE CHURCH BOTH NOW AND EVER MORE.

19.01.2022 GOOD FIGHT Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on the life eternal, whereunto you were called, and did confess the good confession in the sight of many witnesses 1 Tim 6:12 All kinds of fights are going on all over the world. Our text says the fight of faith is a GOOD fight. We are not fighting flesh and blood , but our unbelief and the exaltation of our reasoning. Lean on, trust in, and be confident in the Lord with all your heart and mind and do not rely on y...our own insight or understanding. In all your ways know, recognize, and acknowledge Him, and He will direct and make straight and plain your paths. Proverbs 3:5-6 In this fight of faith you will win IF you don’t quit fighting. Our mind fights believing God most of the time. We need to develop a mind renewed by the word of God. Do not be conformed to this world (this age), [fashioned after and adapted to its external, superficial customs], but be transformed (changed) by the [entire] renewal of your mind [by its new ideals and its new attitude], so that you may prove [for yourselves] what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God, even the thing which is good and acceptable & perfect [in His sight for you]. Romans 12:2 In this fight of faith our spirit eyes need to SEE what God sees which most times is invisible to the natural eyes. NOW FAITH is the assurance (the confirmation, the title deed) of the things [we] hope for, being the proof of things [we] do not see and the conviction of their reality [faith perceiving as real fact what is not revealed to the senses]. Hebrews 11:1 In this fight of faith it is so encouraging to HEAR what God is doing supernaturally in the realm of the spirit. And when you hear the SOUND of marching in the tops of the mulberry trees, then bestir yourselves, for then has the Lord gone out before you to smite the army of the Philistines. 2 Samuel 5:24 When Elijah prayed for rain he heard the SOUND of abundance of rain before he felt the rain. On the Day of Pentecost there was the SOUND of a rushing mighty wind. It was the Holy Spirit. As BELIEVERS world wide , move towards God in repentance , let us believe for a tremendous WORLD WIDE move of the Holy Spirit such as the world has never seen, GOD moving in militant force right across the globe. We will need to fight the good fight of faith until the day dawns and the shadows flee away. Don’t let’s slacken , but rather be ready to move with the Lord , as the church arises to another level of taking more territory from the enemy.,

19.01.2022 CHRIST CRUCIFIED (the wisdom and power of God.) We preach Christ crucified, unto Jews a stumblingblock, & unto Gentiles foolishness; but unto them that are CALLED , both Jews & Greeks, Christ the POWER of God, & the WISDOM of God. Because the foolishness of God is WISER than men; & the weakness of God is stronger than men. 1 Cor. 1:23-25 ... WISDOM : the quality of having experience, knowledge, and good judgement; the quality of being wise. POWER : possession of control, authority, or influence over others. When we preach Christ CRUCIFIED the Holy Spirit works with that preaching in an amazing way. It changes people miraculously. It is a mystery beyond human WISDOM. Revelation knowledge ensues, revealing that Jesus is totally good and we are totally bad. HE DIED TO TAKE THE PUNISHMENT WE DESERVE. Without past spiritual experience , as such , and very little knowledge a life can be changed by the foolishness of preaching. but we speak God’s WISDOM in a mystery, even the WISDOM that has been hidden, which God foreordained before the worlds unto our glory:. 1 Cor. 2:7 No amount of human WISDOM could explain how Jesus , the Son of God dying on a cross, hardly recognisable , barely able to speak through loss of blood and extreme torture could portray hope of eternal salvation. A Jew and a Gentile acknowledged His perfection and were transformed through revelation knowledge as they gazed on Jesus crucified. A thief said this man has done nothing amiss. From where did He get that wisdom? How did he know that awesome TRUTH? Divine revelation is the only explanation. He acknowledged Gods power to save as He said Lord remember me when you come into your kingdom Amazing! A Roman centurion said Truly this was the Son of Godand certainly this was a righteous man. God was working miraculously at the cross. A suffering Son was having a deep and profound life changing effect on a Jewish thief and a Roman soldier. For I am not ashamed of the gospel: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believes: to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. Rom. 1:16

15.01.2022 GOOD STEWARDS One thing we acknowledge as Christians , is that God owns everything. He appointed Adam and Eve as managers , of His created property , and their duty was, and now our duty is , to manage well , every assignment He given. This includes duty of care for family , the earth and material assets. One area of good financial stewardship , is to have a revelation, of the blessing of tithing. In Malachi 3:10,11 we read of the promises the Lord attached to tithing. Br...ing the whole tithe into the store-house, that there may be food in my house, and prove me now herewith, said the Lord of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a BLESSING , that there shall not be room enough to receive it. And I will REBUKE the DEVOURER for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine cast its fruit before the time in the field, said the Lord of hosts. These words were spoken by the Lord who never changes Another area of responsibility is in the area of the family. 1 Tim 5:8 says But if any provides not for his own, and specially his own household, he has denied the faith, and is worse than an unbeliever. 1 Tim.5:8 Depending on the chosen standard of living , in a healthy home , one or two parents work to provide for the family needs. Another area of stewardship , is in preaching the truth of the Gospel, even contending for the faith once delivered to the saints. Jude 1:3 . We must be faithful to preach the word , in season and out of season , and not compromise. Let a man so account of us, as of ministers of Christ, and stewards of the mysteries of God. Here, moreover, it is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful. 1 Corinthians 4:1-2 One aspect of the gospel, being neglected today, is repentance. The Bible says I tell you, Nay: but, except you repent, you shall all in like manner perish.Luke 13:3 . Repentance is not an emotion, but a decision. It involves a change of the mind. Isaiah 55:7 says let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts; and let him return unto Jehovah, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon. Here we see repentance involves a change of mind and life style. As someone said Where the mind goes the body follows The Bible says he that is faithful in that which is least is faithful in that which is much . We are tested in the little things, as to our faithfulness , before God will give us a bigger assignment.

The living word is Jesus. The written ( Logos) word is the Bible. When you read the written word the Holy Spirit can quicken ( give life to) a portion of scripture ( rhema) word for YOUR PROBLEM . Through the LORD’s mercies we are not consumed, Because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness. Lamentations 3:22-23 I just want to thank the Lord for His continued faithfulness to Emmanuel Christian Family Church congregation We had a lunch here for the first time on Sunday 28/3 after a year. During this year God has proved to be our source of supply. We have taught from Phil 4:18 Not that I seek the gift, but I seek the fruit that abounds to your account.. We can draw from that account in heaven during times such as we have been through. Praise the Lord that we are well. No one has lost their job , indeed some have an increased work load. The faithful are either bringing their tithes to church or directly banking them. Consequently the congregation is blessed, Thank the Lord for His faithfulness, Children came back on Sunday and the church is growing in many ways. We have so much for which to praise the Lord . Four people are doing LCC4 at Alphacrucis and 14 doing Back to Basics. We love the Word of God. When Jehovah brought back those that returned to Zion, We were like unto them that dream. Then was our mouth filled with laughter, And our tongue with singing: Then said they among the nations, Jehovah hath done great things for them. Jehovah hath done great things for us, Whereof we are glad. Turn again our captivity, O Jehovah, As the streams in the South. They that sow in tears shall reap in joy.He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing seed for sowing, Shall doubtless come again with joy, bringing his sheaves with him. Psalm 126:

02.01.2022 PROPHETIC WORDS But [on the other hand], the one who prophesies [who interprets the divine will and purpose in inspired preaching and teaching] speaks to men for their upbuilding and constructive spiritual progress and encouragement and consolation. He who speaks in a [strange] tongue edifies and improves himself, but he who prophesies [interpreting the divine will and purpose and teaching with inspiration] edifies and improves the church and promotes growth [in Christian w...isdom, piety, holiness, and happiness]. 1 Corinthians 14:3-4 As the txt says the purpose of prophesy is for edification ( build up) , exhortation ( hold up) and comfort ( bind up) . The Bible is a prophetic book. It is the sure word of prophecy. Every prophetic word must line up to scripture. The Word of God is a plumb line. . And I fell down before his feet to worship him. And he said to me, See you do it not: I am a fellow-servant with you and with your brethren that hold the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy. Rev. 19:10 Personal prophecy must be confirmed and judged by someone with a like gift. It is wise that the character of the person delivering the prophecy be proven authentic , and lines up to the standard of life style listed in 1 Tim 3:1-10 because spirits are transferable. Prophecy over children should always be with their parent/s present and with their permission. Sometimes the Lord shows Spirit filled believers things about a person to PRAY ABOUT . IT IS NOT SO THEY ADVERTISE THAT PERSONS FUTURE TO THE ENEMY. Mary, the mother of Jesus could have BOASTED great things about herself but the Scripture says But Mary kept all these sayings, pondering them in her heart. Luke 2:19 . Mary was wise. Joseph in the O.T. got into a lot of trouble boasting about his prophetic dreams. I am afraid our pride often gets stirred up in the giving and receiving of prophetic words. The danger is we can try to make the prophecy happen because of our take on the words spoken. Even the best fall into that trap like Abraham and Sarah. Often adjustments are made to try to make the prophetic word fit what we secretly want. There have been occasions in my life when prophetic words have really encouraged me , and I thank the Lord , for both the person who gave them and the words spoken. The Bible says Despise not prophesying 1 Thess 5:20 . The most helpful ones were given by people who did not know me at all. The danger is when you know someone and you observe their traits it is so easy to speak out of your own spirit. Praise the Lord for the wise unction of the prophetic through anointed messengers.
