25.01.2022 Back to homeschooling today!! .

25.01.2022 Art Theft. . I have witnessed so much of this lately. From major companies steeling designs off artists and changing them ever so slightly, to other websites selling artists work that they have no rights too. . And Friday, it happened to me. ... . Luckily, another friend who is an artist brought it to my attention as her images were being used too. . I was completely devastated. I felt my blood boil and I felt so helpless But after a few breaths I decided just to call the company and see what they had to say... . And I’m so grateful I did! They thought buying the rights to an image on an overseas website was a legit licence. It was dealt with instantly, the company could not have been more apologetic, they even want to do things the right way so we are now in discussions for licencing my artwork. I’m so happy with this outcome- the other things I’ve witnessed recently haven’t turned out so nicely. .

20.01.2022 Anyone else been watching a heap of family movies? . It's my favourite thing to do right now. Piling blankets onto the couch, popping some popcorn and snuggling. . I LOVED rewatching Casper the friendly ghost, Babe, Little rascals, Now and then.... . We also recently watched The Never ending story, the kids loved it, until the horse swamp scene. My eldest looked at me, fat tears rolling down his cheeks and screamed "WHY DID YOU MAKE ME WATCH THIS!" Fair call... . I'd love some new recommendations! What's your fave family movies to watch? 12.01.2022 I've been debating whether to be this open or not... but to be honest? My small biz has been struggling, HARD the last few months. As I'm sure a lot of other small businesses have as well as a lot of people. . It's like I cursed myself. The second I did a post on how lots of people were buying art during a pandemic - *crickets*, no sales, nothing. . I literally started doing up my resume, thinking I'll have to look for work - heartbroken.... . Side note- My fave movie is The Little Mermaid. . I kept playing that scene in my head where Sebastian keeps telling Ariel to forget about her dreams of going into the human world. As he's looking into Ariels sad broken face, telling her the plan he brakes it off with "And you'll just be, just be... miserable your whole life." . I just kept thinking that over and over in my head. . I don't want to be miserable, in a job I don't love, my whole life. I LOVE my job, and want to fight for this biz! . This last fortnight, people are coming back to my site and buying my art again. It honestly fills me with so much joy and proves to myself that I just have to keep hanging in there. You guys supporting me, I hope you know that it means so much to me. Those likes, comments, private messages, make my day. 08.01.2022 I hated my body for years. I have been everything from a size 6 to 14. I had a unhealthy relationship with food in my teenage years. Literally starving/bingeing and then hating myself. In my 20's I'd go on fad diets, just drinking shakes and when I'd get to my "goal weight" I'd STILL be miserable. When I put on weight from my pregnancies,... I didn't think I was "worthy" of wearing something fashionable if I was a certain size. I lived in maternity jean's and plain maternity tops for years after having my boys. In the last few years I have been really working on myself, educating myself about the diet industry, and working on my body image. Now I am obsessed with fashion, I feel like I can wear anything, at any size. I feel worthy. I love my soft body, and I've probably never been bigger than what I am now. I used to cry when I was look in the mirror and see my body, but now I literally blow myself a kiss and feel nothing but love for this vessel that carries me through this amazing life. I'm honestly so grateful to my body. I mean, I grew two children! It's freaking amazing. Going into the warmer months, I'm sure we'll be bombarded with advertising diets to "help" with our "summer/beach bodies". Just remember, you are worthy, you are enough. You don't have to be a certain size to go into summer or swim at the beach. You are so darn fabulous just the way you are. . . . . #bopo #bodypositive See more

My heart skips a beat, I feel all the warm and fuzzies and honestly, I just feel so darn honoured. . It means someone has been watching my work. They’ve talked to their loved one about it. 02.01.2022 What do you miss? . The biggest one for me is to be hanging out with family and friends, but second to that is exploring in nature. I love going with my boys to a beach with rockpools and caves and exploring for hours, same with going into the mountains and exploring the local forests. . So that's the inspiration for my latest collection that will launch tonight. I'm craving nature.... I still have so many names for it floating around in my mind. . I just can't decide on this one!
