23.01.2022 I am so excited to share with you this stunning home, especially the before and afters! This big family home has been structurally altered to open up the space and make room for the family of six. Through the house, we added new artwork, new carpet and floorboards and fresh paint. Today I present you the new kitchen, laundry and dining area. Can you spot the secret door in the kitchen? It is part of the joinery so just looks like a cupboard, but it is actually a spectacular walk in pantry. Next week, I will share the living spaces. Till then, have a great week.

22.01.2022 Continuing on from the last few weeks, colour predictions for 2021 are very earthy, warm, muted and natural- light woods, pebble grey, terracotta. Material predictions include straw braiding, linen, wool, ratten and seagrass, along with ceramics, terracotta, sandstone, black fittings and coloured glass. As the focus turns towards ethical living, people are seeking to reuse or recycle good quality items to give them a second life, with a top designer quoting that a full inter...ior design job could be done using 60% reused/ recycled items. On a personal note, I really enjoy giving much loved items a new lease on life in a new space- whether it is furniture, art or trinkets, I think it is really important to keep personality in a room. An example below, where the olive drapes in this home below were existing, and very high quality, so by using complementing furniture and scatters, we were able to give them a new lease of life, in this now very modern family home.

22.01.2022 Merry Christmas to you all x

20.01.2022 Following on from last week, today we focus on the living spaces. There was a bar between the sitting and living rooms which has been removed, giving both spaces a proper entrance, the sitting room was also made bigger by reducing the kitchen space. New furniture in the sitting room completely transforms the space, and the new paint and carpet give the whole area a fresh, modern feel. New joinery was added for the bookshelves and entertainment unit, providing functional storage. Next week to complete showing this house, we will finish by sharing the study and staircase transformation.

20.01.2022 Continuing on 2021 trends from last week, Covid has highlighted the need for having; Protection - somewhere you can call home that is healthy and secure. Modularity- As we now perform multiple tasks at home- work, study, play, eat, entertain, it is important to have a home that can cater to all the activities.... Lightness- After this year, we all need morale boost. This can be achieved through colour, humour and objects with happy memories. Next week, I will share Colour & Material predictions.

19.01.2022 And finally, the bathrooms and laundry. Continuing the Hamptons theme throughout, using beautiful whites and natural timber in the laundry. An absolute refresh giving this home new life for the family to enjoy for many years to come.

18.01.2022 So excited to share this project I have been working on this year. Will start by showing you the kitchen. The owners wanted a ‘Hamptons’ feel, this was achieved using cabinetry in white on white 2pac in a shaker profile finished with black knob handles. The kitchen benchtop is Clamshell, (a light mottled grey) against a herringbone laid textured grey tiled splashback. I have included some before shots which I am sure you will agree make the finished result even more impressive. Looking forward to sharing more with you next week.

13.01.2022 Some before and afters to end the week. Complete kitchen redo and makeover in the living and dining space. Stunning ‘After’ shots, leaving this family a beautiful home to enjoy for years to come.

10.01.2022 Everyone loves a before and after, so over the next little while, I will share some favourites with you. This Melbourne apartment was a blank canvas. Incredible what a change in floor coverings and some beautiful furnishings can achieve.

10.01.2022 Sharing some more Before & Afters. This home was like working with a blank canvas. A new home that I was engaged to help furnish. With the addition of quality furniture, mirrors, rugs and window coverings, we were able to transform this home into something beautiful that will be enjoyed for years to come.

09.01.2022 And last but not least, the updated staircase and new study, with plenty of inbuilt storage. I have also included some close up pictures from the inbuilt shelving in the living spaces, as it is a very clever way to use space and add extra storage too.

09.01.2022 Today we have the living and master bedroom. I am sure you will agree how much of a difference the light colours and new window coverings make, making the space seem bigger and brighter. I love how much of a difference shelving and storage makes in a walk in robe, and new light fittings to continue that Hamptons feel. Next week will show you the bathroom and laundry, enjoy your weekend x

08.01.2022 A quick video highlighting my Templestowe project.

07.01.2022 Trends predicted for 2021 are strongly based from the year that was 2020! Covid turned our world upside down, and as a result of that, everyone has had to reexamine what is important. Most of us spent more time than ever in our homes this year, and the trends for 2021 are based on design constantly reinventing itself for the world of tomorrow. Designers are encouraged to think different, as consumers, especially in the younger market have a strong focus towards ethics, sustainability, wellbeing, co-working and co-living. Next week will share more around some highlighted needs 2020 has brought about for design moving forward.

07.01.2022 Ohh the irony. On Friday, I was going to share that I had yet again won Best of Houzz in two categories, however then we got the news of the latest lockdown so I thought I would wait. The irony comes as the image Houzz shared for my win, is that of a home office which is where I am sure, many of you are working from today. It is an absolutely beautiful day in Melbourne today so I do hope everyone is able to get out and enjoy some fresh air at some stage and fingers crossed by Thursday, we are back to ‘normal’- whatever that is these days!

02.01.2022 To brighten up this dreary day in Melbourne, I am delighted to share with you my latest project in Surrey Hills. With a growing young family, this couple wanted to change the home to better suit their needs. Through the redesign, we used the existing space in a really clever way. Today I share with you the kitchen that was brought to the centre of the home, which enabled two living zones at either end of the home, with the addition of a walk in pantry, and also the dedicated dining space which was previously an open plan dining/ living space. Skylights and feature lighting were added to add interest, natural light and warmth. Next week, I will reveal the new look living spaces!

01.01.2022 Over the next few weeks I will be sharing with you 2021 design trends predicted by Maison&Objet, one of the largest meetings of home professionals in Europe. Will start sharing next week, till then, have a great weekend
