12.01.2022 Meet Diane, our Quality, Risk & Innovation Manager. Having joined Emmy's Leadership Team in February this year, Diane's role has been challenging to say the least! But despite the unprecedented nature of 2020, she has found her role to be extremely rewarding. Now that lockdown is over, Di looks forward to seeing residents reunite with their loved ones more often and keeping Emmy COVID free.

10.01.2022 In the lead up to Mitzvah Day, the kinder children from Mt Scopus Memorial College Gandel Besen House campus chose to make a card and beautiful gift for Safta Irene (above Irene in the photo!). What made this heartfelt gesture even more special was that the children considered Irene's visual impairment and used materials that could be smelt and felt. We are so grateful to have forged such meaningful connections with Mount Scopus Memorial College through our Safta program.

08.01.2022 Thank you to our resident Goola who spent this morning potting plants for our balconies. We can't wait to see them sprout bloom summer!

08.01.2022 All volunteers deserve recognition for their generosity, including our residents! With restrictions easing state-wide, we look forward to welcoming back more of our wonderful volunteers to Emmy soon in a COVID-safe manner.

06.01.2022 Hazel's beautiful paintings have brightened Level 3 Arts and craft form an integral part of our wellbeing program. Not only is it fun and engaging for our residents, studies show that the creative process promotes relaxation and resilience - which we can all benefit from!

05.01.2022 If you didn't get a chance to catch this live, click the link below to hear our very own Maureen Shulsinger (Culture, Community and Wellbeing Manager) on the radio (from 6'15"). Maureen discusses how Emmy Monash has continuously pivoted this year to safeguard the health and wellbeing of our residents, as well as explaining how our diverse volunteer base is one of most invaluable resources.

03.01.2022 Mitzvah Day was different this year, but as meaningful as ever. Staff and residents connected remotely with Darchei Shalom volunteers (a Caulfield Shule social action group) to bake cakes for Inkerman Housing Estate. We have partnered with Darchei Shalom for the past five years, so it was wonderful continuing this tradition in a virtual manner and keeping the spirit of this special day alive.

01.01.2022 Another successful Spring Carnival at Emmy... Our residents had a fun-filled day, with a Melbourne Cup Sweep, livestreamed concerts and of course, fancy dress! Let us all hope to be as vibrant when we reach 100 as our resident Lotti!
