25.01.2022 Finally made it to the v8s

24.01.2022 Tidy little Mitsubishi Triton getting a few upgrades from its original blow through setup we did last year. -Gtx3582 -Turbosmart exturnal gate -Link G4x -Modified Magne efi intake... -3" stainless exhaust -Exedy HD clutch -ARP head studs -Crow performance springs See more

23.01.2022 Our first race starts in 20mis

23.01.2022 4x Australian disabled water ski champion Ian Hickmott Disabled Wakeboard Waterskier brought in his beloved Malibu wake boat for us to do a routine service. Upon further inspection we found that the V-drive fluid was contaminated with water from the heat exchanger due to the O-rings failing to seal. To prevent this from happening again we decided to do a custom PWR heat exchanger system while still utilising some of the components from the old system.

22.01.2022 Another Engine build we have had on the go here at Empire Automotive & Performance, ready to be installed Monday morning into a GQ Patrol & then for some custom intercooler piping & exhaust system. This Engine build is a Forged Rb25/30 with a custom built turbo equal to a GTX3584, we are utilizing the standard rb25det camshafts, we have upgraded valve springs & retainers, ARP studs throughout. This is a very interesting build so keep an eye out for the up & coming updates in the next couple of weeks.

20.01.2022 With just the cam and a dyno tune on the SS we achieved 255rwkw on pump 98. We are proud to say the customer was happy with the nice reliable power increase.

14.01.2022 Do you know how to tell when your brake pads need replacing? The brake pads are a vital part of your vehicles braking system and keeping them in good working order is crucial to the safety of you and your family on the road. If your brake pads are coming to the end of their life, some things you may notice could be a squealing noise coming from the brakes, vibration under braking, a grinding noise or simply just taking longer to stop than usual. To make a booking or if you have any further inquiries do not hesitate to give us a call on 4772 2440 and one of our friendly team members will look after you

13.01.2022 Did some upgrades last night, vents to cool brake rotors down & fitted turbo calipers & rotors pads were only cheap pads but brakes seam to work well day 2 which we manage to run our fastest run of the weekend of 1:34.39 We still had a failure being the same thing as yesterday, that dam rear CV joint just cant handle the power this thing is making, we replaced CV joint once again. Also got told that i wasnt aloud to race after apparently "drifting" around the track, so i contested it as i was only trying to keep it strighy. They later came back and let me race.

13.01.2022 We had a few issues yesterday. 1st sessions, brake fade from boiling fluid which resulted in nosing it into the tyre wall, lucky it wasnt fast and not much damage to the ute, we rectified the issue by replacing the brake fluid with hi temp reted fluid. 2nd session, only a few laps in we had a mechanical failure, the rear cv joint on the tailshaft chewed itself. Id like to put a big thanks out to the "CV King" George Uren from Townsville CV Shafts for help us out to get us b...ack on the track. George was the only one in town that had a replacement cv joint. 3rd session, we had a big lock up which we got 10secs of fame on TV, lol. From locking up we flat spot the tyre which was so bad we had to pull into the pits & no longer continue the race. Upon inspection of the tyre we found on the disc suface had a build up of brake pad material which we believe when we applied the brakes it locked up and didnt release for a few seconds. So over night we have replaced the tyre with a replacement & fitted new brake pad. Also we have made some ducting to try and keep the brakes cooler.

12.01.2022 Flex fuel tune is done on the mighty Triton & is ready to hit the rollers(dyno), any predictions on what Power & Torque it well make?

12.01.2022 Workshop is coming along great looks very neat and tidy. Id like to thank Brendan Spoor from Brenno,s Excavations for doing such a good job.

12.01.2022 Ok, we finally have results for our FG Workshop ute 61ETR (6L ETR), we ran it at the Townsville V8s last weekend and did not have 1 engine issue, it absolutely performed outstandingly. So we decided to see what sort of power it is making this weekend..............736.1hp (549kw) WOW, this is a standard BF series 2 engine. -ARP head studs -Crow valve springs & retainers -Billet oil pump gears -GTX45

11.01.2022 Barra the world

07.01.2022 A little bit late night welding eating some pie

06.01.2022 Races will be televised so you can watch our mighty Barra fly around the track. https://www.supercars.com//track-times-for-townsville-op/

06.01.2022 For those who missed it here you go

05.01.2022 Finally got the Triton up and running today, this Triton is very special as it is getting setup for a Flex fuel tune in the up and comming week. The build consists of a 4g63 VR4 Galant G4x Link Ecu through a modified 4g54 Magna MPI loom, custom Magna intake manifold with thermostat relocation, Gtx3582 turbocharger, 45mm Turbosmart wastegate, Bosch 1000cc injectors, Aeroflow surge tank with 460 pump, Aeroflow 044 equivalent pump, ARP head studs, 90lbs performances valve springs, custom intercooler & piping, custom 3" stainless steel exhaust system & Aeroflow muffler, Exedy HD clutch & a custom 2 way CIG diff centre.

05.01.2022 When your pushing the clutch past its limits, this it what 500kw does to a single organic NPC clutch, surprisingly the NPC clutch did not slip once and held 500kw, it only showed signs of stiffness selecting gears. And this is what we found after removing the gearbox.

05.01.2022 Here we come 2020 NTI Townsville SuperSprints, we are racing 3 x 20min rounds on Saturday & 2 x 20min rounds on Sunday, cant wait to see what this beast can do.

04.01.2022 Here was our very first job in the new workshop, was a delight to have work on this Japanese import. We fitted a replacement engine as the old engine was hurt and smoked like a chimney, we also made a custom 2.5" stainless exhaust with modified Aeroflow mufflers which make this thing sound amazing

03.01.2022 Bit of catch up weekend work, making a plug & play loom for a 99-00 WRX, ecu is an old one but still very capable of running it to the best of its abilities

02.01.2022 Just fitted these massive 8 pot 400mm brakes to a customer's fg xr6t. Can't wait to see how they pull up compared to the standard 2 pots

01.01.2022 So, we had this ef xr6 come in as the customer wanted to turbocharge it. It has a Jim Mock dev 5 engine built with high compression for nos. We modified the standard exhaust manifold, made a custom dump and J pipe to suit a gtx 35. The manifold, dump and J pipe were all HPC coated. We also fitted an Aeroflow intercooler with some custom piping. The customer wanted to run the car on e85 so we fitted a custom fuel system to suit which includes a Walbro 460 pump, 1000cc injectors and e85 compatible fuel lines throughout. The wiring was a little messy so we re-wired the whole engine management system and re-mounted the ls1 coils for a tidier look. The standard clutch wouldn't have held up to the new power so we also fitted a heavy-duty clutch. At 16psi we managed to make a reasonable 301rwkw.
