21.01.2022 WELCOME BACK to all our great Empire Members! We are re-opening Sat 13th June from 12.01am, thereafter pretty well back to normal and 24/7. Debit Success will commence direct debit payments next week. Just a few Corona Safety things I would like our members to adhere to please: Always Scan in, essential for Track & Trace Wash and dry hands when you come in... Use our sanitiser and wash cloths Keep your distance, stay 2m apart 100 people Max in the Gym - but even at our busiest time we never exceed this number. Towel mandatory No eating inside the Gym If you are sick don't come in Do not touch your face. Viruses enter your body from being on fingertips then people touching their eyes, nose, lips and mouth. Look forward to seeing everyone training back down at Empire!

17.01.2022 Yaaayyyy!! We are back! Opening Sat June 13th. Looking forward to seeing everyone back down here training! We will have to distance - but that's easy at Empire, and we will clean and sanitise. Max 100 members at a time, but that will be fine too. Fantastic!

17.01.2022 Hi Empire People, It's soon, very soon! I'm really looking forward to seeing you all down here working out. Will have to do a few things differently like Distancing - that's easy in a Gym this size, Hygiene - hand washing, cleaning, sanitising. All pretty easy and well worth it in order to get back into the Gym. No date yet, but won't be too far off!

12.01.2022 We can longer run 24/7 as we must have a Covid Safe Marshall in the gym at all times we are open. So unfortunately we have had to change our hours away from 24/7. Our apologies for any inconvenience this may incur, but it is now a short-term requirement of the NSW government. Our new opening hours are: MONDAY THURSDAY 4:30am to 10pm FRIDAY 4:30am to 9pm... 12.01.2022 I do not support the closure of our gym in Wagga. We provide necessary physical and mental health support for our members, many of whom are front line support workers like Doctors, Nurses, Paramedics, Police, Corrections Staff and Transport Drivers. They are all under tremendous stress and need their workouts. We have a very large gym floor and inherently we don’t have members working out in close proximity to each other. For an area that has nil reported Corona cases, I feel... this is a gross overreaction. I feel that we are being punished by the Premier who was embarrassed at the number of people at Bondi and Bronte beaches on Friday, and has put these draconian measures in as a knee jerk response to that. In reality, Bondi has nothing to do with the people of Wagga Wagga. The emphasis should be 2m social distancing, thoroughly washing and drying hands, absolutely not touching your face, eyes, nose and mouth and keeping surfaces clean and sanitized, and anyone with any flu like symptoms immediately self isolating. I look forward to opening again as soon as possible. See more

This is not the time to become complacent. - All members MUST scan their cards for track and trace purposes, doors are now LOCKED to ensure this is done. -You MUST bring a towel, wipe or spray equipment after use and wash or sanitise hands with the provided stations around the gym. ... These are simple requests that make a BIG difference. Thank you!

08.01.2022 I and my members are really keen to safely re-open. We do need to start re-opening businesses. People need to get back to work and the economy needs to start moving again. Profit needs to be generated, people employed and taxes paid. Supermarkets are open on the basis of 1 person per 4sqm trafficable floorspace and this has worked just fine. This can be replicated in many businesses. There are no active cases in the entire Murrumbidgee Health District, and only one case reported in NSW in the last 24hrs. We can have a Covid Safe plan for the Gym, so let's go.

06.01.2022 FITNESS PASSPORT MEMBERS: FP is not opening up and debiting its members when we open on Sat June 13th. They will open up sometime down the track when restrictions are further eased. However, I want FP members to be able to use Empire Gym as per normal. So I want all FP members to pay Empire whatever their normal weekly FP fee is each week for however long FP is not up and running. That weekly fee will then cover you to come into Empire Gym as many times as you like for that week. Just come into the office and pay on a weekly basis please. 06.01.2022 GREAT NEWS 24/7 is back at Empire Gym!! As of this Friday 23rd October, we are back running 24/7. Thanks to the patience of our terrific members in supporting us through the last 12 limited hour weeks. Thanks to Premier Gladys Berejiklian, Treasurer Dom Perrottet, and local member Dr Joe McGirr who all listened and considered my representations.
