19.01.2022 We would like to officially welcome the infamous Luke Furbank from Crimson Royale to our team. He has grown up a lot from where it all started! Luke has come on board as an Associate teacher and will be teaching Thursdays and Saturdays. Message us to enrol with Luke.

19.01.2022 A bunch of our Empire students have been a part of the Local Emerging Artists Program (LEAP) over the past few years which is run by the incredible Kylie Webb Shead and Heidi AndAnd through the Local Stages at BMEC program at BMEC Bathurst with some help from Smith & Jones from time to time too Kicking off this Thursday night is the first of a series called Quarantunes where a handful of LEAP artists perform a song via Zoom for an online concert/open mic of sorts! Its imp...ortant to try to be as innovative as we can in these uncertain times for live music, and these types of online gigs are a great way to play and connect with your audience as a musician and also support one another/these up and coming musos by simply tuning in! The health and safety of our students and teachers is our utmost priority. At Empire we would love to continue your childs musical education in these uncertain times. In the interest of everyones safety, from Close-Of-Business today, Wednesday 25th March, all after-school lessons will move to an online format. If your... child is home from school, we are also available to offer online lessons during the school hours. Rest assured, we will do everything we can to ensure as little disruption as possible to your childs music education. Your teacher will contact you to discuss suitable times and online options. Weve already had a handful of events take place in Bathurst involving our Empire students which well tell you a bit more about over the coming weeks! 2020 sees our teaching team full of familiar faces and a whole bunch of new ones too, so we thought wed show em off below! 09.01.2022 UPDATE RE. ONLINE MUSIC LESSONS: Empire is going to primarily use the platform ZOOM to continue private music lessons. Its free, available on PC, MAC and phones. It has excellent audio and video quality, and a host of other features to ensure lesson times are productive.... You can download/sign up here: https://zoom.us/ This is great opportunity for students to continue enhancing their music skills. Well also take this opportunity to seek feedback. 04.01.2022 A few weeks ago a whole bunch of our Empire students/artists had the chance to perform at BMEC Bathurst as part of the Inland Sea of Sound Festivals LEAP programs band night! The amount of incredible young bands coming through is AMAZING and we are so lucky to teach and mentor a few of them! Was great to see The OccaRockers from OConnell Public School opening up the night (a school band program started by Aaron over 10 years ago still going strong!), a brand new band, The ...Oblivious, featuring long time Empire student (and previous Occa Rocker) Emily Butler on vocals and keys, Brady on lead guitar and Angus Forsyth filling in on drums for the night (another previous Occa Rocker!), Charlotte Bertwistle and Harriet Lowe playing as a duo giving us some super sweet Dixie Chicks vibes with amazing harmonies and guitar playing and The Forget Me Nots (best band name ever) featuring Jade Newham, another long term Empire student who has come SUCH a long way in the past few years with Taylor on bass and vocals and new Empire student Digby Sharpham absolutely KILLING it on the drums!! Big shout out to all the other bands that played on the night too including Rickys Breath, Sweet Revenge, Trifold, Unity, Kadiella and Ryan and Izzy Music! Huge thank you to the team at BMEC, Inland Sea of Sound and the LEAP program for putting on such a fun night! A few of these bands were also given the opportunity to play as part of the line up at the festival itself which was amazing to see! Keep an eye out for all these up and coming bands and get along support them when you can!
