24.01.2022 8yrs, I registered my baby 8yrs ago as a Valentines Day present to myself. Its been a hell of a crazy ride with so many changes in the property industry from when I first started, I was only 20yrs old . Along the way I’ve met some amazing people that have turned into life long friends, we lost people who we love who are no longer with us but I’m sure their supporting us from above. Despite the many ups and downs you face as small business owner especially in the WA property ...market the deadlines, the stress, the tears, the late nights, deregulation of fees, the laughter, the adrenaline feeling when you win against a bank or that deep satisfaction when you tell a client they have a new home or they’ve sold one, even doing all the extra work for the ATO I wouldn’t change any of it. The way our industry bands together to help each other when needed makes you feel proud to be a member, I love that my business constantly challenges me, I am very lucky to do something which Im passionate about and always learning from. So to all my family, friends, referrers who supported and continue to support us build our wall and make my dreams a reality from the bottom of my heart I thank you all. I never would of gotten through this last 8yrs without you, were enormously grateful. I’m looking forward to seeing what the future brings we’ve accomplished so much in just 8yrs it’s exciting to see where we go from here. 23.01.2022 Client appreciation at its absolute finest Ive always loved my job and we all love happy clients, however after a really long difficult day with banks, opening the door to these lovely people whose home I’ve just completed made my day heck week maybe even year, they must know how stressful settlements can be with that amount of alcohol

22.01.2022 As I’m sitting here working on a Sunday afternoon, thinking back on the last few months n how hectic they have been more than words can describe, the stress and exhaustion have been real, as I’m sure it has for a lot of us. I’ve had the hardest few weeks after losing my nana, opening the door to the delivery man handing me a gorgeous hamper from some lovely clients makes you feel so appreciated and fuzzy making all this craziness that is life worth it. I also received gorgeous flowers from a referrer of ours and well I wish I had taken a pic from our other clients but that went down way to quickly thank you Nick & Zoe I’m eternally grateful to all who continue to support Empire Property Settlements and thank you to my family and friends who have helped so much with Jacob we couldn’t do life without you

After coming back to the office from a doc sign up this afternoon to find this lovely gift on my door step from a client made my whole week I just had to post, that’s not just 1 bottle people that’s 3 . I love my job and our industry and nothing makes you feel more accomplished than having a client appreciate the work we do for them, ...hearing how happy they are when their settlement has been completed I love that I get a part to play in that, we never expect anything in return so today was a lovely, thoughtful gesture and so appreciated I’m already thoroughly enjoying the wine When I started Empire I had a vision to be more personal with our clients and referrers and as the years have passed I made that vision a reality I consider all people I work with are like family we take the time to get to know our clients and referrers you meet so many interesting people with such diverse backgrounds and stories you can’t help but get invested, I have the best job and I’ve met some amazing people who have become dear friends. 11.01.2022 When your client tells you they have the original title and you go pick it up and discover it’s not the original just a downloaded copy they can’t find it anywhere, with settlement due next week head into Landgate with them and plead with the staff to issue a new one after a few hours they finally do, winning. Always go above and beyond for your clients mine were so grateful and it’s all sorted. Pro tip, leave the title at landgate then these issues will never arise. Thank ...goodness for technology these days so you can work remotely H.

06.01.2022 A year ago today on Valentines Day I made a huge decision and registered my business name a MONTH later I opened my doors I cant believe its nearly been a year I have been running my own business and what a fantastic year its been here is to many more _____________________________________________________ Wow when I wrote the above I never imagined 7yrs later, Empire isn’t just a business to me it’s my baby and 7 years later I’m still loving my job, sure the industry has g...one through its own changes moving to electronic platforms working more for the ATO for free and the market has been very challenging that has to change soon hopefully. However the people you meet helping someone sell or buy their home their stories, the agents, brokers and referrers you build a relationship with over the years become friends and family and I love that, we wouldn’t be here without these people and being a small business we are so appreciate that I can even post Empires 7th birthday today. I look forward to keep maintaining and building our wall and thank you to all that continue to support us. 01.01.2022 I registered Empire on Valentine’s Day as a gift to myself and what a gift it’s been. It’s our 9yr anniversary this past year has been an epic roller coaster as I’m sure you can all agree who could of predicted Covid, lockdowns and a massive surge in the property market that came out of no where. Staff was hard to find for months, we moved into an new office in Stirling after 8yrs only to go into lockdown found out we’re not an essential service HOW that is possible with t...he amount of settlements we have, throw in homeschooling a special needs child and somehow we made it through with some sanity intact thank goodness I finally found an employee in November she’s been amazing best find ever considering she was thrown into the deep end best way to learn, she may not agree with this . Rounding out the year I lost my nana a women that meant the world to me, she was so proud of everything I’ve worked extremely hard to achieve and I know she will be shining down on me always and finally my son started high school after a week of lockdown!! Still if someone asked me would I do it all again, knowing the sacrifices I’ve made and how hard running a business is, in a heartbeat I love our industry this past year has been unprecedented and how we all banded together to help and support each other through such a chaotic market is admirable, it truly shows just how strong and amazing our industry is.
