19.01.2022 Today we had the pleasure of informing one of our nicest clients that their Trauma Plus claim was successful and he will be receiving $400,000 in his account before the end of the week. BACKGROUND In October 2015 J was referred to us after an unsuccessful attempt at obtaining direct Income Protection insurance with his health fund. ... J and his wife M are new Australians who originally came here from Europe to work and raise their infant children. They are a gentle and humble couple who work very hard to afford their life here in (very expensive) Sydney. Although they were originally Direct "customers", they quickly saw the real value in becoming Advisory "clients". They agreed to Term Life for J & M, Income Protection for J, Trauma for J & M and TPD for J. All of it went to ClearView. In December 2016 J started seeking medical advice for what was a suspected case of Crohn's Disease, however by January it was confirmed as Ulcerative Colitis. CLAIM We started his claim work in in January and submitted in early February. The only delay was a confirmation of the permanency of J's treatment from his specialist. That came through last week. Today we received the news from ClearView that the claim has been admitted and he will have the funds processed today too! THE CLIENT He was so humbled. Unfortunately he is not in the best of health but he can't believe that this good news has come on the back of a nightmare 4 months of pain and suffering. EMPIRE RISK You can't wipe the smile off our faces that we're able to help one of our truly nicest clients financially. Yesterday he was trapped with his terrible condition and no choice but to work through it, BUT today he has options and we think he needs a nice long sabbatical.
