24.01.2022 Urgent Update COVID19 and Empire Youth Arts Classes It is with a heavy heart that effective immediately and in line with direction from the Australian Government we can no longer meet for the remainder of Term 1 classes face-to-face. We are all responsible for keeping each other safe and our young citizens are an active part of that process. It is important that at this time the connections we have built through training, discovering and creating together are not lost w...e are a community no matter the circumstances. For the final classes of this term Drama Two and Plus: Wednesday 25/03 and 01/04, Drama Starter and One: Saturday 28/03, and Dalby Drama: Friday 27/03 we will run an online session during usual class time to check-in and talk about mental health and to work through a series of activities in line with our training for this term. The details for these will be sent via email. Please be assured that we will continue to monitor government recommendations and as soon as we are able to we will return to training as usual. 17.01.2022 Worlds collided yesterday when our Toowoomba IMPACT Seniors met our Dalby IMPACT Ensemble last night for a dress rehearsal Advice was shared and questions were asked as the Dalby IMPACTers get ready to open their show TONIGHT! 03.01.2022 FULL HOUSE // Following the Premier’s announcement today regarding the easing of restrictions on live performance and theatre venues in Queensland, our venues w...ill soon be able to operate again at 100% capacity! While this is GREAT news for everyone, we’re currently working through what this means for upcoming performances and our audiences so if you are a ticket holder - stay tuned! Please note there are no changes to events this weekend.

03.01.2022 COVID-19 Update All current classes and rehearsals are going ahead as planned, but if you are unwell with any kind of cold or fever please do not come into class or rehearsal. The same applies if you believe you may have been in contact with someone who has recently returned from high risk areas overseas. The health and well-being of our young people is very important to us as is the health and well-being of everyone who attends the Theatre. ... We are closely monitoring a number of important information sources to ensure we are totally up to date with developments as they occur and will keep you up to date on any changes affecting the Empire.

02.01.2022 COVID-19 UPDATE Hello Folks, Our main theatre doors will close today as per the Federal Government statement on indoor public gatherings of over 100 people. This will of course affect our season as all performances until April 30 will be cancelled or postponed until later in the year. However our last 2 weeks of classes for Term 1 (Drama 2 and Plus finishing 1st April, Drama Starter and 1 finishing 28th March, Dalby Drama finishing 27th March) will still go ahead as per... directives in line with Education and Health authorities. All classes will practice high levels of hygiene, ensure social distancing and be able to enjoy the enhanced cleaning of Empire Theatre premises. Again, if you are unwell please remain at home, the health of our communities depends on it. We fully understand that these are confusing and changing times and as more information comes to light we will continue to be in contact.
