20.01.2022 Just had customer call by to show me photos of kids tricycle he had bought from me and has restored for his grandkids. I am thrilled.

19.01.2022 Hmm now what’s in store this weekend. Heaps of new (to the shop) items from literally hundreds of new brooches, some collectible toys, bacon jam and salt. As always a good new selection of retro and vintage clothing. Our candy and local mannum (a very much requested) new item made by a lovely local lady. Our artists have been hard at work with some beautiful new pieces of pottery and picture frames in time for the holiday season. Pop in and say hello.

18.01.2022 With the extreme temperatures we have been and will be experiencing we will now be open on ‘let’s see how hot it’s going to be mode’ we have very limited cooling (the small airconditioner we have really suitable for a small 1970s lounge room it’s original purpose back then). Mannum basically clears out during the heat of day. So we will open when here early in the morning and evening during the cooler times of the day. For now are open for the next three days so if your ...in the mood for a beautiful drive head our way it’s lovely and cool here today so much new gear I’ve been clearing the warehouse in town. Also some Original Grand Prix fear from a collector. Love this old window frame with gorgeous gals one of a kind great gift for your rockabilly mates. There’s a similar one I’m negotiating on. Terrific mustang belt, coffee maker, plus bags and boxes I’m yet to get to. Retro guys tuxedo jacket really unusual with leather trim for retro collectors and nice guys sports jacket. 16.01.2022 Lots of new items have arrived. We bring in an average of 100 new items per week. Here are some of our latest finds. We have a gorgeous Lisa Ho top complete with ostrich feathers, beautiful Indian hand embellished shalwar chemise, Django and Juliette embroidered loafers, shearer jetting new designs, beautiful carved bracelets in a lovely wooden display box, gorgeous whimsical tie dye lace skirt and top, little princess red Tutu and a Rajasthani mirrored purse. Just a sa...mple of our new wares Mannum very busy at present all of the local eateries doing a fine job. A visit must is a drop in to Tims nursery know throughout South Australia for great plants at great prices and raised and sold by a very popular guy who was to be found at all the markets. Great news he’s now at Mannum every weekend with Penny both of them very helpful and friendly. Had a trip out to Murray Bridge today visited Mystic Flair on Bridge Street. Great food, clothing and gifts well worth a visit. Y’all have a great week.

16.01.2022 Looky looky what great bus we have on offer this week I’ve been twisting some arms to get people to part with stuff. First is an amazing find Thomas and two of his friends train set, completely in tact minor damage to box tested ready to go definitely one for the collectors I’m told it’s from the 90s, couldn’t find any in Sox only the US, Rare find in retro toys and only $299 be quick if you’re interested I’ve had a lot of interest just with it sitting waiting for me to research the price. Current owner has been sitting on it for years. Also on offer a Trikke 8 adult foot powered scooter again very rare in Oz asking price $399 my seller has an amazing eye for unusual finds. The third item on offer is a sweet little ladies Shogun bicycle cruiser style $225 for this one.

13.01.2022 I have a lady client whose Mom has passed she has found amongst her Moms belongings 30 quilting squares. They are ready to be put together but she is unable to assemble is there anyone on this site who may be interested in taking on this project.

11.01.2022 Well the year 2020 is just about to wrap and Mannum is just buzzing. Heaps of folks in for end of year parties clothing, so we’ve done the gorgeous posh black ...outfits, a wedding dress (always fun very different expectations from each bride to be) bridesmaid and flower girl outfits, a great bright orange Nehru jacket to be worn with original lime green happy pants (interesting), bathers, a rip Curl hoodie, a wetsuit, still digging through for an ageing 70s disco host costume (I know there’s a shirt here can’t find it damn). We’ve sold a gorgeous Baltic pine table too. Today I scored some beautiful late 50s early 60s gear gorgeous designer amongst which is a very Jackie O wedding dress Fabulous collector pieces. Some lovely Royal Albert teacups have also arrived, and beautiful little gemstone trees made by Melanie. This year our artists have done us proud and we’ve had some great sales. Here’s to a much better New Year We are hoping to get to the Magic show in Vegas and back to all our vintage haunts worldwide to bring y’all some exciting new finds. Fortunately we have some great contacts in California and London who will continue to personally shop for us. I’ve included some snaps of gear in store now. Bye 2020

11.01.2022 So excited for our local prom queen who came in to show me her stunning photos of her gorgeous dress chosen pre Covid. She looked amazing. Great weekend very ...busy in town. Lots of visitors from the city and getting lots of new regulars, special shout out to our Murray Bridge, Tailem Bend and Hills neighbors thank you so much for your amazing support. Beautiful sofa bed picked up yesterday also sold a gorgeous set of French antique parlour chairs. Mr rocking horse has taken off for new pastures and some dollies have a new house, that one sold before we got it in the door. Our resident garden art artist car door complete with Major Mitchell also bought by very happy customers. Just love Terri’s work. We are very honoured to have such amazing innovative artists working with us in our quest to recycle and support our state producers and artists. We do have in stock some beautiful (modern cherry/rosewood) closets, a great Spanish style marquetry table with chairs (great for anyone renovating a 70s/80s home). See more

07.01.2022 Thank you to all our wonderful customers and friends. To the folks in Mannum thank you for allowing us the opportunity to share your wonderful town and of course the beautiful river. Covid was a big turn around for many country spots and most definitely Mannum. Numbers surged to beyond those of the holiday season with new visitors and those renewing happy memories of their youth. So many buying houses and starting businesses. We hope this continues, bringing new opportunities for work to the Town, And that all of the hard working stores, pubs and eateries continue to grow and get the support they deserve. All the best everyone. See you in the big smoke one day.

04.01.2022 Fun and games yesterday had whole rack of clothes mysteriously end up in the road in the rain tipped over (do hope it was the wind although the breaks were on). Bit disappointing no one even stopped to tell us it had happened. On the brighter side very busy weekend some lovely pieces of furniture coming in this week and some other lovely finds. Several of our favourite pieces sold this weekend with lots of retro clothes running out the door.
