25.01.2022 Yes. Love this. Please share around. https://www.facebook.com/526204004129398/posts/3239508456132259/

23.01.2022 I will be putting in an dog product order later this week so if anyone is after KONG products, Aussie dog products, general dog toys, poop bags or anything else please let me know and I can send you products and prices. This is the product I am loving at the moment! Some of my clients have seen these poop bag dispensers on my leads already. They have velcro loops to attach to your lead and are big enough to hold poop bags and a extra small hand sanitiser or house key in them. They are fabric so don't crack and don't dangle around like the traditional plastic ones.

23.01.2022 This can also happen with two pups from different litters or different breeds or even months apart in age!

18.01.2022 Beautiful little Luna learning that leash pressure isn't the end of the world today

17.01.2022 A testimonial from one of our earliest clients who still to this day uses our services. "Zeb and I have worked with Kate for a while now and would not consider using anyone else. Zeb (border Collie X) has had a few behavioural issues that made it hard to take him places. These issues include, pulling on the lead while walking, jumping on people when excited, lunging at cars (and bikes, and skateboards, and runners, and anything that moves or has wheels) when they went past on... a walk, and throwing large, painful tantrums when he can’t go up to other dogs out in the street. I have been through other trainers over the years, but the training didn’t address the issues or seemed ineffective over a period of time leaving me feeling hopeless. However, within a few sessions working with Kate I saw a difference in Zeb’s behaviour. He is now much more manageable and the time we spend together is enjoyable rather than a chore. I believe this is because Kate understands the psychology of dog training but also understands the dogs on an individual level and cares for their well being and progress. Kate’s problem-solving skills for fixing Zeb’s not so great behaviours are incredible and it seems she has a solution for almost anything. One of the strengths of Kate’s training is that she not only teaches the dog, but also equips the owner with the skills to apply to the dogs training. Knowing how I can train my dog and correct his behaviours outside of our training sessions has contributed to Zeb being more manageable for the long run. My relationship with Zeb has changed for the better since working with Kate and I would highly recommend Empower Dog Training to anyone with a dog." - Hannah with Zeb (Private sessions)

17.01.2022 It's level 1 grading day for some of our Trick Clubbers tomorrow!!! Wish them luck!

16.01.2022 Yes At Trick Club the dogs are not allowed to interact or get too close to each other. This is so they can learn to work with their owners and ignore other people and dogs. It also teaches them that just because there is a dog or person does not mean they get to interact with then or that they need to interact with them.... This is a vital part of raising a well balanced dog.

14.01.2022 Cause we all love dogs!

13.01.2022 We are ready for our next intake of Trick Clubbers! It is suitable for dogs of any age young or old (that are vaccinated).... If you are wanting to join please send me your email for the sign up forms. $30 yearly membership (per dog) due on or before the first class. $20 per class attended (per dog) (no class fee for the first class). *Suitable for reactive dogs and dogs working through reactivity on case by case basis, pre assessment session required prior to attending classes.

07.01.2022 Let's talk Greyhounds and tricks! Honestly I love greyhounds. I used to foster greyhounds with a greyhound rescue (that has sadly closed now). But they are so often underestimated and misunderstood. These big pointy dogs are different to your average dog, but in a good way. No they don't need a lot of exercise or a massive yard despite their size. They still enjoy a daily walk like all dogs but they spend a lot more time sleeping and laying around compared most breeds.... I far too often hear people say "a greyhound can't learn tricks" or "but I have a greyhound so there's no point in trying to teach tricks". Well that's simply not true. Here's on of our Trick Club teams, Anne and her greyhound Spec (Special Spoc) to prove that. They have attended 2 Trick Club classes and been working super hard at home. This is the results. Look at how happy Spec is and how much fun both Spec and Anne are having together! Spec has also passed level 1 of Trick Club so a big congratulations to Spec and Anne for that achievement too! Thank you Anne for allowing me to share beautiful, smart Spec with everyone.

07.01.2022 Because we know I love greyhounds, had to share this beautiful blue girl is looking for a home. Contact the number at the bottom for more information. JUST A BLUE GIRL LOOKING FOR MY FOREVER HOME... Hi everyone my name is Bree, well I get called Bree Bree and I will eat all of your cheese! Not just the Brie, but the Camembert, the tasty, the coon, the cheddar and the vintage and whatever else is in your fridge. I get a little excited when it comes to food but I am a beautiful... little blue girl weighing 28kg who loves pats and cuddles. I am nearly 6 years old but act like I am 2 years old. It would be lovely for me to find my forever home for my 6th birthday. I have an eye problem called pannus which means I need eye drops daily, but if you can pay for my eye drops I can pay you back in love. I am very sweet when I am an only girl so if you have pussy cats I won’t be able to come to your home and I probably wouldn’t get on with other dogs as I have a bit of spunk about me. I like to be the head honcho. I am only little, so I am easy to handle and would love to go for short walks when you have the time. I will need some adjustment time in my new home with my new people so please allow for that. No dog is perfect, but I’m trying my best so please bear that in mind while I am transitioning into your home. I will become the perfect hound in time. I do love to sleep and when I go to bed at night I sleep all the way through. I don’t get up early for breakfast but when it’s being made I do get a little excited about it. I do LOVE my food. My whole life is food and sleeping and more food. Did I mention food at all? Anyway my peeps would love to hear from you as they took my phone away as I was calling too many of my friends and running up a bill. They also took my iPad away. I used to have so much fun on my IPad playing cooking games dreaming about food that I could eat... My humans number is 0421 495 220. Lots of love from the blue Bree Bree Looking forward to my forever home, for my birthday remember. It’s the 11th of September. See more
