25.01.2022 Everywhere you look nowadays you see the new way to lose weight and are bombarded with a lot of contradictory information! Even as I was studying to become a PT I had my coach tell me weight loss is as easy as energy in vs energy out... basically eat less than your total daily expenditure (how many calories you need to consume a day to keep your body functioning as well as your daily activities, e.g. work, study - different for everybody) and burn more calories = weight los...s Which is true to an extent.. With this way of thinking you could for example eat in a calorie deficit by only eating chocolate and exercise daily and lose weight - because you are expending more energy (calories) than you are consuming - but are you nourishing your body? are you giving your body the nutrients it needs to thrive? I like to lead and promote a healthy balanced lifestyle, nourishing your body with nutrient dense foods that help your body digest, develop, grow and just really perform at its best! but also allowing for those ‘soul foods’, whether that be enjoying a glass of wine with friends, going out for dinner and trying new things.. because life is meant to be enjoyed See more



24.01.2022 HELL YEAH IVE PUT ON WEIGHT! Something you don't hear everyday I bet The picture below shows my body composition analysis from over one year ago to today! To put it simply I have put on 3.5kg of muscle super stoked! If it wasn't for Steve at Fitness Key you would of assumed this weight gain was all fat, this is why your scales should be thrown out, they can't tell the difference between muscle and fat!!! 21.01.2022 UNILATERAL WIDE GRIP CABLE LAT PULL DOWNS God what a mouth full lol, but I absolutely LOOOVE this movement! The lat pull down targets your back muscles... latissimus dorsi (lats for short), rhomboids, your trapezius (traps for short), your rear deltoids (posterior shoulder muscle) and also those biceps but primarily hits your lats. Having a strong back is so so important especially for your posture, think of how long you sit down for in a day and if have an office job sl...umped over on your computer, it can create a very weak back and can become very prone to injury! Not only that but lat pull downs give the appearance of a smaller waist by creating a V-shape Try doing the classic lat pull down if your a beginner, be sure when executing the move to not hunch your shoulders, so I suggest when you pull down the bar depress your shoulder blades and retract (pull them back and keep your chest lifted), fully extend your arm and feel your lats pull the weight down!
