20.01.2022 Rwandan Peace Basket with doTERRA Peace Reassuring Blend 70 percent of the Tutsi population in Rwanda was killed during a few short months in 1994. While the stories of loss are innumerable, communities of people triumphed, joining together in traditional basket weaving to cultivate healing and harmony. As women gathered together building pieces of art, they left behind hope, strength, and honour. These baskets were gifted to others, uniting them in a shared pledge to esta...blish peace. In the same beautiful countryside that once rang the sound of destruction, the sound of laughter and love echoes off the beautiful, joy-filled faces of the Rwandan people choosing each day to build peace While the stories of loss and tragedy are innumerable, the real story is told through the people, the landscape, the children, and mostly, the future. Communities of people joining together in traditional basket weaving, cultivate healing and harmony. Gifting the baskets to others continues the united pledge to establish peace When you choose the gift of peace from our Artisan Shop, you're playing a continuous role in supporting the 2,000 artisans who craft these symbolic baskets. Through the Rwandan Peace Basket project, over 2,000 women are provided a fare wage for each basket made exclusively for doTERRA. 05.01.2022 International Women’s Day 2021 I am so grateful to be surrounded by strong, kind, empowering women who inspire me, pick me up when I'm down, continue to cheer me on in my failures and celebrate my wins. You know who you are

02.01.2022 Pink Pepper Essential Oil I love the sourcing story of Pink Pepper and it is yet another example of why I love dTERRA and what they do, so much! The most unique aspect of sourcing pink pepper is its year-round harvest and the advantage of picking the fruit throughout the year means a steady source of income for small-scale farmers.... Working directly with small-scale farm owners, dTERRA has created a network of harvesters for Pink Pepper essential oil. One of those harvesters is Veronica. Veronica was pregnant with her fifth child when she received news her husband was killed in a road accident near Nivasha, Africa. Veronica was forced to move from her home and take her children out of school. With no other means of support, she soon found herself giving away her dignity and her respect to simply provide for her children. Today, with the help of doTERRA’s Co-Impact Sourcing program, Veronica and her children have a stable future. Veronica now has a sustainable income harvesting pink peppercorn fruit from the mature, well-nurtured trees that grow in and along the gardens and roadsides of her village, while also inspiring many women in her community to follow in her footsteps doTERRA’s Co-Impact Sourcing initiatives support small-scale farming and agriculture all over Africa and are changing the lives of individuals, just like Veronica every day. 01.01.2022 Nepal Dryer Balls Created from organic, chemical and dye-free wool, our Nepal Dryer Balls are more than just laundry accessories. The local women of Kathmandu gather inside an airy, corrugated iron shed, where they are greeted by the diligent sound of an old Muskan sewing machine and mounds of ethically-sheered fleece. The women set to work pulling, shaping, rolling and bathing the soft, warm fabric by hand, until an army of white woollen balls carpet the floor out the back..., each one perfectly similar to the next. Some of the women rolling the balls are there as part of a humanitarian program set up by Raksha Nepal to rescue and rehabilitate victims of sexual exploitation and trafficking in Nepal. Others are there to simply earn a livelihood by taking advantage of safe working conditions and fair wages. doTERRA’s Co-Impact Sourcing program, gives under-privileged women the skills they need to improve their economic wellbeing and gives us access to lovingly handcrafted Nepalese wool dryer balls. Wintergreen essential oil The fog hangs low on the snow-capped mountains of Nepal as the village women rise early to start their day. For many, the winding trek up the ridge is a daily ritual, and one they endure with pride to collect the shiny, aromatic leaves of the wild Wintergreen plant. The women descend from the forest with baskets on their heads weighing up to 30kg, brimming with leaves ready for community-based distillation. For many local families, the sale of the Wintergreen leaves means they can afford to send their children to school and access essential items such as food and medicine. The Co-Impact Sourcing initiative in Nepal allows doTERRA to source high quality Wintergreen oil while increasing the economic opportunity of harvesters in very remote regions of rural Nepal.
