Considering recent events due to the COVID-19 virus, and the closures of many essential service providers, Empowered to Care would like to advise that anybody having trouble obtaining care during this challenging period that we are here to offer a range of services relating to in home and community care. Community Access will be available to attend essential activities. Essential services include food shopping and doctor and specialist appointment...s. This can include accessing a support worker to complete your shopping and provide a no-contact drop off. We are also adding to our already existing services Community Structured In-Home Services. These include but are not limited to, Cooking classes, Arts classes, Fun with Music along with other structured activities. We are open to all suggestions that will help keep busy and intuitive minds stimulated during the new government implemented guidelines. All Support Workers are complying with the strictest of hygiene standards and are ready to assist you with the in-home care of your choice. 16.01.2022 It is with great pride that I can announce we have our first SDA/SIL house up and running! Lots of work has gone into this project and to have it now running i...s a massive accomplishment! A big thank you to Megan and Kevin, for making this dream a reality. To everyone who believed in us and our ideals, especially Marilyn, who has worked tirelessly to get us to this point. Most importantly a huge thank you to the participants who are now calling this house, home. And the support staff, working with the participants to achieve their goals and finally give them the life and freedom they deserve. We thank you all!

12.01.2022 I want to take a minute to update you on our three beatiful houses at Walloon. Unfortunately at this point there has been a hold up with the building which has postponed the opening for another month. We are so sorry if this has caused any inconvenience to anyone, but as soon as we get the final ok from the inspector we will give the big announcement. Thank you to everyone for your patience.
