02.01.2022 . . - Everyone wants to be happy in their lives, & I’m no different. For a long time I was chasing happiness. I believed that when I become successful, I’ll be happy. It wasn’t until I recently read ‘The Slight Edge’ by Jeff Olson that it hit me! ... Happiness is a choice, it’s not something you chase after, it’s something you are first in order to become who you want to be. So I have been more conscious about creating happy habits such as focusing on the positives and taking time to be grateful for moments, people and things in my life. I’ve been regularly exercising again (which is also great for my mental health) & I’m also prioritising time for myself to meditate, read and journal. Something I have never done in the past. I have found that when you create this positive energy, you naturally are happier! And that I am!! Another take away from the book! Extensive research has shown that people who are happier also have fewer strokes and heart attacks have less pain and inflammation have greater immune function and more resistance to viruses have better work performance and more professional success have more fulfilling and longer lasting marriages are more financially successful live longer Now if that’s not 7 reasons to create happy habits in your life then what is?!
