19.01.2022 As the year is coming to an end, like most of us, it’s been a time for deep reflection. It’s definitely been a revealing year, in all areas of my life. Enduring loss & overcoming a few challenging obstacles, helped me to put life into perspective. These were wonderful gifts for me - perfectly orchestrated of course! As I witnessed friends & people shaming one another other publicly, it saddened me to see the divide & lack of compassion for each other. One thing I have learnt,... I can’t control what is taking shape externally, however, what I can control, is how I show up for myself & hold space for others during times of stress & uncertainty. I am still in this space of quiet ‘me’ time as I close 2020 & open my arms to the unknown #2020 #complete #feminine #sensuality #selflove #space #endof2020 #endingsbeginnings #compassion #compassionforall #endofachapter #welcome2021 See more
17.01.2022 Ending of endings.... I think most of us agree that 2020 has been one of the most beautiful, healing, transforming & fricken challenging years of all time. I put my hand up to feeling like I was drowning at times. However, my faith & determination to trust in the unknown allowed me to surrender into these new depths of waters. Gentle reminders to keep softening & falling into new territories - with heartache, laughter, sadness & joy. I have experienced loss & openings. T...he biggest ending for me, losing my job a few days ago. A role in the corporate world which is a big part of my identity, one of my purposes. It was a huge surprise but at the same time, nothing surprises me these days. I see endings as a gift, an opportunity to reflect & move forward with more conviction & grace. Hello new door... 12.01.2022 As long as I can remember, my body has always been a big focus for me, especially accepting the changes taking shape as I age. I don’t recall when it all started, this obsession of trying to fit into what I felt was ‘enough’, ‘beautiful’ or ‘worthy’. I have always battled with body image, it’s been a HUGE part of my self love journey. I recently got real with this part of myself & confronted my shame. One of my besties recently asked whether I had body dysmorphic disorder (BDD). I laughed it off but I knew deep down, it wasn’t a joking question. She was being serious with me. Being in lockdown has brought to my attention the part of me that is constantly needing my love & compassion. I feel honored to hold space to the women who come to me for support. I am also forever grateful to my beautiful body.
09.01.2022 What are you reaching towards in 2021? I usually have my list of goals set out each start of the year. I am driven by intentions & get excited by what is possible. This year is different. I decided to bring in one word, like a mantra. That word describes how I am going to show up in life & myself. That word would ground me back into my intention/s & set me on a path of excitement. That word is ENERGY. I want to embody ENERGY as my medicine, the life force I am. 2021 my year of fully showing up in my fullest expression. I look forward to making friends with ENERGY, reaching towards this light with curiosity.
07.01.2022 This post follows on from a conversation I recently had with some girlfriends, around the topic of immature masculine v’s mature masculine. It offered some curiosity & insight to what women want from their man SO I got reading! I do feel in western modern society, male initiation has been lost and with it we have also lost the mature masculine. Unfortunately most of our society is run by this immature masculine energy and this I believe is why the rise of the divine f...eminine is taking place. A feminine woman, by definition, can only surrender to a man in his mature masculine. Women want their man to lead (not dominate like a dictator, but lead) the relationship. Women tend to react to immature masculinity by engaging in immature femininity. A beautiful article by Giles Charle I highly recommend - The Mature Masculine Requires a Mature Feminine: Understanding the masculine is helpful and working to mature our masculinity is good, important work. But it falls short if we do not understand and heal our feminine self as well. Often we find ourselves in the immature masculine because our feminine self is not safe (or doesn’t feel safe). She has not been safe to be vulnerable, to be receptive, collaborative and interdependent. In order to heal, to forgive, to come back into wholeness in ourselves we have to understand and know our feminine. #masculine #feminine #maturemasculine #feminineenergy #energy #love #relationships #healing #vulnerability #strength #wisdom #relationshipgoals #coaching #coachingforcouples #couplecoaching #selflove #selflovejourney #safe #trust #lead #wellness #tantra
03.01.2022 The era of vagina shaming has come to an end......or has it? I was laying at the botanical gardens recently with my girlfriend, admiring the beautiful essence of a rose. It truly was perfection. Flowers connect me with femininity, represent beauty & strength so we celebrated this rose, as a symbol of our yoni (vagina), honoring the perfection in her. In this honoring, this got us talking about vagina shaming. So many women are insecure about their vagina, experiencing sha...me or guilt. I can understand, as it wasn’t until I deep dived into my sexuality journey, did I fully discover the sacredness & power of her wisdom! My friend jokingly said she would love her vagina to smell like this rose. I replied back saying my vagina does smell like roses....actually, so much better than roses! Society gives women a lot of wrong & negative messages around feminine hygiene & grooming. We are encouraged to wax, shave or sculpt to be accepted by men or to feel more pleasure. How many of us give in to that?? I am definitely guilty of that. Your yoni/vagina is perfect the way it is. All self-love starts with love for your vagina. See more
