07.01.2022 GRAND FINAL REPORT U/12/1’s v St Marys - Saturday 12/9/20 Proudly Sponsored By DCJ Lawn Mowing & Garden Care... Up against a very well coached and massive St Marys team this was without doubt our biggest test all year which coincidentally was the Grand Final. Down 18-6 at halftime and without our captain who suffered a broken arm the week before it would have been very easy to make a valid excuse. All I asked for at halftime was to trust our game plan and give me every last drop of energy that you have. The 2nd half was something special and for those at the ground they witnessed a little group of close mates pull off an inspiring victory winning 28 - 16. They would not be denied and there were plenty of tears at full time - this time happy tears. Congratulations St Marys on a fantastic season you are a credit to your families and your great club. 06.01.2022 GRANDFINAL BOUND CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR U23s Round 10- U/23s Match Report NSWRL Conference. At home at Leonay against East Hills.... Thanks to our sponsors Premier HVAC,EM Mechanical Services,MJP Carpentry and Steyn Electrical Contracting. The team played at home in the final round needing to win by 12 to make the Grandfinal.The team started on fire with Chase Chapman scoring a try after a charge down by himself in the first quarter.For the rest of the half the boys dug deep with brilliant online defence keeping East Hills at bay.4 nil to Emu at halftime.Jay Pearce then scored a fine try making it 10 nil to Emu at 3 quarter time.Everything to play for in the last quarter.East Hills then scored making it 10 to 4 with just under 10 to go.Jase Edwards then proceeded to score a cheeky try on the last out of dummy half with just over 5 minutes to go.But with us missing the kick the team still needed to score.Up stepped the skipper Liam Harris making a huge 70 metre run.The team then proceeded to shift the ball from the right sideline with Kytak Chan scoring a try in the left corner with just over 3 minutes to go clinching a spot in the grand final.The team really dug deep with brilliant defence throughout the game. Final score Emu Plains 18 defeated East Hills 4.
