02.01.2022 The new normal Welcome to the new normal in Australia This land of sweeping plain politicians In the face of hot and cold situations... Getting hotter and colder Not just here, but globally And we supply coal to the world Lying straight faced about meeting our targets Well, not me, but the profit mongers And their mates in the big bubble Making decisions based on returns For the polluters and the rest of the exploiters And therein lies the solution to their new normal System change to address climate change Revolution is the only solution To their profit and pollution Revolt, now, in our millions John Passant 15 December 2019

02.01.2022 I wrote this almost a month ago. Blow their rotten air away Have you seen the boomers of yesterday prance their dances?... I have, mind wandering, through narrow fences And expanding vistas, built by men Now older than our grandparents I see it every day, betied, besuited, boufantted In styles delayed by reality The boomers represent a slice The problem is not nice It is the rich who are the issue And the capital they defend With their tissue of lies As we die, now or in the future To satisfy their why Profit before people Cash before their clash Their wealth before our welfare End it now, somehow My loud cry echoes, alone We must win, and atone To our world Rescue it, from their shit Start organising 30 years ago Blow their rotten air away John Passant 14 November 2019
