24.01.2022 Photo shoot completed of the new Futhark Rune necklaces. Since each will be in the upright position as it is worn rather than cast, they become a talisman for the wearer, so the meaning of it would be read for each one, the left and the top side as well as the middle of the symbol clarification box. Handcut & sanded to a silky smoothness from Tasmanian Blackheart Sassafras. Waxed & sealed with my homemade beeswax with a few drops of essential oils, gives them a faint smell of... ancient temple incense in nuances of Sandlewood, Bergamot, Jasmine with a hint of the earthy Patchouli roots. 22.01.2022 I love what I do for a living and when we love what we do we do this from beginning to the end, the whole process is a joyful creation. In this post are some of my customers review that can feel my spirit imbued in my creations. It doesn’t stop for me when a buyer orders a finished creation, it continues on with the packaging it with the same love & care as the beginning of it. The purpose of a present to yourself from my shop is self love, why would you expect anything less ...than that, as if receiving a present thoughtfully wrapped & packaged item from a loved one? By raising my bar on how I care for myself, I have automatically raised the bar on how I treat those that buy from me because you too are so very worth it. 14.01.2022 A quick update It’s been a wonderful time of the year here at my home. Commissioned custom creations are being finished for the holidays and the garden has been keeping me busy, hence not much to post at this time. I have a 20% off Sale on selected items running in my shop at this time until Nov 30th. so hop on over if you want to catch a handmade one off.... I’ll be posting new creations as I make them available in the New Year. Until then this page may be a bit quiet so I can get done what needs to get done. I hope everyone is having an exciting & magical rest of the year. With 2021 right around the corner one can only wonder what it’s all going to be like. 2020 has been really good to me so far, as a person who enjoys alone time space, the quiet time has had great benefits for me. I love Springtime here in Tasmania. It has brought all kinds of feathered friends with their babies to my garden & patio. The hard pruning back of all the fruit trees last fall looks like was a great success as all of them a filling up so quickly with little fruits of all kinds already. 13.01.2022 Slow but steady progress to make a large 12 inch x 2 inch x 2 inch Wizard today. It is so much slower to work with such a big piece of wood in comparison to the little ones. So far so good...

10.01.2022 A quick update. There has been some beading going on because there was a call for it for custom orders. So no woodcarving was happening until today. The pause from woodcarving felt wonderful for my hands. In the coming days I will be posting some of the new works in progress. 10.01.2022 Cleaning? Playing is more like it sometimes moving stuff from one room into the next to make room for more discovered stuff. I have 2 Studios now and still more stuff comes in the house because the studios are not heated in the winter. Now that Spring is here in the Southern Hemisphere I’ve got to take it all out of the house again soon and put it back into the Studios where I might find some long forgotten supply bits again to play with

06.01.2022 A Wedding Beauty Now available in my Etsy shop at: www.evesoriginals.etsy.com I finally finished this magical smudgefan made from my pet doves feathers I’ve collected again for the last 2 years, and a wood carved Weeping Willow heart. The peyote stitched handle has 14kt Gold galvanised seed beads with raspberry colored flowers stitched onto white thick pigskin leather. I poured my heart into this soulful piece. May it be a great blessing to the one that receives this....

02.01.2022 This piece is being created for a near in the future medical student. Had to put a couple of candles in there because we just know that students learn best at night before an exam This is getting much closer to the look I was aiming for. A few more touch ups, a bit of make-up powdering his nose. Possibly a bit of slivering grey in his beard, maybe in his hair or both? Maybe some nails to hold the ‘old table & stool together...... 01.01.2022 My first attempt of wood carving a sort of flower fairy. Still so much work that has to go into her before I can say I’m happy with it, but it’s a good start I think. I learned a lot already to make the faces better. Unfortunately once something is cut off there is no way of putting it back on. Hard lesson learned. This is not the best angle for her, but I thought I’d get a photo now to see how she developed from here.

01.01.2022 A very special custom made smudgefan. I’ve been holding back on posting this photo until the person receiving it has seen it first. And so there you have it. A very natural colored piece, connected to Mother Earth and yet also a reminder that we have the freedom to fly, meaning freedom of choice. We contain within us the thoughts that can free us or those that limit us. The bird represents the freedom to be in a meadow of flowers even though he could be off flying up high in the sky. Our imagination carries us every day to the highs and the lows through the use of our thoughts. Be free like a bird.
01.01.2022 Played around with some Blackheart Sassafras offcuts today. These Rune pieces are sanded down to silky smoothness. Once I applied the beeswax in several layers to seal them, their colors changed to deep browns and each piece felt as soft as butter but not as slippery . The colors reminded me of Butterscotch with a bit of Latte and dark Chocolate...mmm.... don’t lick it I really enjoyed putting these together, a nice change from wood carving. #futharkrunes #blackheartsassafras #norse #odin #woodrunes
