16.01.2022 Refreshing swim near Coochie, teasing the sharks... Some days deliveries are just

15.01.2022 Enchantress made her way up to Southport from Newcastle. The crew experienced a bit of a rough weather and our delivery skipper Geoff sustained an unfortunate head injury. He's all good after receiving 12 staples for his head wound. It was a huge relief seeing the crew sail in through Southport Seaway bar and big thanks to Southport Yacht Club for providing us with a berth during a busy period. Of course big thanks to our volunteer marine rescue teams as well for being on standby as well in case extra support was needed. The tired crew berthed the boat like pros.

14.01.2022 The owner of Enchantress, Dr John Willoughby received Order of Australia award for service to ophthalmology and to sailing in 2021. Congratulations John, you're a legend! Dr John is very passionate about his work through Vision of Islands, a not-for-profit volunteer eye surgical and clinical team who provide services in the Pacific Islands. 13.01.2022 What would it be if Sydney to Hobart went ahead this year? We'd have quite ideal conditions for Enchantress. The boat loves a bit of a blow downwind. We'd have a fast downwind start to about halfway across the Bass Straight, until a SW front would hit us late on Sunday night. It looks like we'd be finishing in Hobart sometime late on the 29th or early on the 30th. I used Predict Wind to look at the weather models and routing and thanks to Maja Jeromel I also had the opportunity to explore the routing with Dorado Sail.
