25.01.2022 Employees receiving payments under JobKeeper can be asked to take some of their paid annual leave. However, there are some things to look out for: - You need t...o keep at least 2 weeks of annual leave after you've taken any annual leave your employer asks you to take. - If your employer asks you to take leave, you can only refuse if it’s reasonable to do so. - If you normally earn more than $1500 before tax a fortnight when taking paid annual leave, you should be paid your normal rate for the leave, not just the minimum JobKeeper payment. - You keep accruing your usual leave entitlements while you’re on annual leave and your leave counts as service. - You shouldn’t owe your employer annual leave because you’re on a JobKeeper stand down.
