24.01.2022 WE ARE PROUD AS PUNCH! Yesterday Encompass’s Matt Buckingham was awarded as the winner of the Judges award for the 2020 Geelong Awards for People with Disability! Matt was working at Encompass’ HomeStart store in Jan 2019 when he realised something was wrong with fellow volunteer Bobby. ... Recognising signs of a stroke, Matt notified his supervisor, who promptly called Triple Zero. Matt ushered volunteers away from the scene, reassuring them and clearing a path for paramedics to treat Bobby and take him to hospital. Matt’s actions likely saved Bobby who has since made a full recovery. We could not be prouder of Matt and it has been a privilege to watch him grow and continue on his journey. As always - work hard, be honest and be proud of who you are Matt! From all of us here Encompass our sincere congratulations on your well-deserved award!

It is a global generosity movement unleashing the power of people and organisations to transform their communities and the world. Encompass Community Services today is sending a call out to everyone as a reminder that every act of generosity counts!... 12.01.2022 At encompass we know times are tough and we help in every way that we can. One of our participants who we care for 7 days a week has unfortunately been housebound for quite a while. So today we organised for Penny the amazing Story Dog Cavalier to brighten up their day. We would say the visit really went well!

From January 1st to 31st in 2021 Grill'd Waurn Ponds will have an Encompass Local Matters jar as one of three community groups for you to support. All you need to do is order a burger to get a Local Matters token, then just drop that token into our jar.... At the end of the month if we get first place Grill'd will donate $300 towards our community causes! <3 We would love for you to be a part of this amazing initiative, and all you have to do is have a meal at Grill'd Waurn Ponds in January. 01.01.2022 Thank you to Grovedale CFA for helping rescue Moira. <3 On Monday we received a distressed call from a staff member who was supporting a participant that cared for Moira. As they were loading the dishwasher this cute little rascal climbed into the drawer and got stuck, so we called the fire brigade straight away. Moira had to be rescued by the 9 by (YES 9 !) fire fighters that showed up.... Moira is a friend to us here at Encompass so we are happy that she is ok :) Thank you Grovedale CFA!
