18.01.2022 I have always loved the evolution of entrepreneurial ventures and the fascinating journey to the formation. 'encounters - Curated Art Tours' is no different. The decision to start the venture was more than passion, but a direct result of a need for something overlooked in the second largest city of Western Australia, yet is the heart and soul of any community and the source of the vibe of most cities around the world. So what was the catalyst? The evolution, is the natura...l progression of a niche' business in the coastal city. LAVA, is the only commercial art gallery in the city of Bunbury, which represents exclusively glass made by Western Australians. Every day without fail, I am asked where one can see the art of local artists and what the cultural point of difference of the city is. As a tourist attraction to the city, the light globe above my head decided to match the need with the artists of all media hidden in their studios. The concept was not for a typical gallery environment but to connect the public, community and tourist with the lifestyle of the artists.
