24.01.2022 Hi ALL, We just came back from a trip to the Philippines,for some R&R we had assistance from Relief Managers who did a great job for us. We are glad to be back we really chilled out and back just in time for winter, but so far not too cold at all but it will just be a matter of time.We are gearing up to have the roof on the motel painted after all the gable infills were replaced last month so a bit of an upgrade.We launched our new website and gallery so take a look and let u...s know what you think. 22.01.2022 School holidays are coming to an end, and so we sit back and take a moment to relax. Phew! Thank you to all those that came to Dubbo during the school holidays and enjoyed the sights that are on offer, mainly the Zoo but plenty of other things to keep the family entertained. It's been a pleasure to have your company!

18.01.2022 Well folks, David and I are going to have a well-deserved break from the motel and holiday in Vietnam and Cambodia for the next 2 weeks. We have an amazing couple, Debbie and Karl, looking after the motel in our absence.

17.01.2022 We had an amazing chap by the name of Dave Mapleson stay with us last night on his way home from Queensland. This guy is just one of the amazing people that help drought stricken farmers in Western Queensland in his own time (or his bosses time) to deliver much needed groceries and supplies. What a wonderful, thoughtful, caring group. I would strongly recommend making a donation to the Drought Angels to help our struggling farmers.

16.01.2022 The noisy piece of equipment that disrupted our night's sleep on Friday.The upside- the road no longer has a nasty big pothole for the trucks to rumble through every other night of the week.

I often wonder if they ever think from the perspective of their clients. This can be from little things, like complimentary soap, to uncomfortable beds or worse. I can only guess these guys have stayed at a lot of properties over their time. We stayed in the beautifully renovated "granny flat" (my granny never had a place this nice). Everything was carefully thought out, from efficient heating, two TVs, comfortable beds, ample bedding, enough pillows to keep my wife happy (no easy task) and, in particular, a fully equipped kitchen that was actually fully equipped. This might even be unique in Australia. Our stay was a pleasure, and that's because the owners get customer service and go out of their way to make your stay as comfortable as they can. I would not hesitate to stay here again, without bothering to check out any alternates in the area.

Tony and Miles owned the Management Rights to a Resort on the Gold Coast for 7 years and are very versed with the hospitality industry and we look forward to being of service to all past, present and future guests.

06.01.2022 Great family getaway from Kellie Hennessey on TripAdvisor. Had a wonderful stay in the Cottage for 2 nights. Fantastic value. Heaps of room. Beds were very comfortable. Very clean. Sylvia and David were welcoming, friendly and helpful. Even some yard for the kids to play. Would definitely stay here again. A great place to stay for a trip to the zoo. Thanks for the wonderful review Kellie, so far all our guests at Granny's Cottage have loved their stay. Pleased to hear that you had a lovely break!
