25.01.2022 Tomorrow is National Early Educators Day, this year more than ever we want to thank our team. Each day they come to work to brighten the day and make the world as normal as possible for all our little people. Even though we are all apart, we thank you all for teaching with all your heart.

22.01.2022 Today is R U OK day, recently our educators have been working through some professional developments focusing on mental health and wellbeing in children. Educators have learnt new skills to foster childrens social and emotional wellbeing and also signs to look for.



21.01.2022 Our older children have been asking lots of questions about why people have to wear mask. Educators have used this as a teaching opportunity by reading the children a book and the children participating in an activity making a mask. If you would like to see a copy of the book please ask our friendly educators, Catherine, Bianca and Emily.

21.01.2022 Today we had a carnival day for the children, the kids had a blast with carnival games, jumping castle, temporary tattoos and a special lunch. Next year we hope we can celebrate the festive season with all our families, with our annual picnic in the park.

21.01.2022 Come to care dressed as a Pirate. The children will participate in lots of pirate themed activities, we will share this activities on Storypark also for children who are at home.

20.01.2022 Our toddler children have been involved in a group project. They have all worked together to create a volcano and today they watched the explosion. This activity introduced children to science and also taught them to work together to achieve the intended goal.

19.01.2022 Each week our centre cook will be sharing a recipe of the most favourite meals/afternoon teas the children enjoy whilst in care. This may give you a new idea for dinner or a cooking experience you can do together with your children. We hope you enjoy.



19.01.2022 Merry Christmas to all our families, thank you so much for all your support through out the year. Will definitely be a year we won't forget. From our family to yours we hope you all have a safe and merry Christmas.

19.01.2022 Today we made goop using lux soap flakes food dye and warm water. Its messy and as the kids manipulate the goop the soap flakes and the consistency changes.

18.01.2022 Today the centre conducted a routine Fire Drill with all the children. These drills take place a few times a year to prepare both children and educators on what to do if ever a Fire was to happen and introucde the evacuation process. In the rooms, educators explained to the children beforehand what we was going to happen so there was no panic. All the children did a great job during this practice drill. When we reached the car park, rolls for each room were called and the children responded with here when their name was called.

17.01.2022 At EHELC we love to support the community and get involved where we can. One of our educators & a friend have started up a local small business together called, Soul Treats Australia. Providing comfort, fun and a safe place for kids to just be kids in the crazy world we live in. 11.01.2022 Footy day fun, all the children had such a great day. Was full of craft, cooking, sports and pure fun. Thanks for everyone for participating and to our educators for planning such a fun day.

10.01.2022 We have been busy creating the following document. It outlines how we are minimising the risk of co-vid19 in our service and the steps which would need to take place if there was a confirmed case. This is available for families to read in the entrance.

10.01.2022 During bush kinder our educators supervised children as they navigated climbing trees. This activity allowed children to take risk in a safe environment. As activity progressed so did their confidence and skills.

10.01.2022 As we begin stage three restrictions, we just want inform families our doors will still remain open. we continue to clean and sanitise all high touch surface areas through out the day but we ask all families to help keep our educators, children and parents safe by following some simple steps below. We will be taking temperatures of all adults and children when they entre the service. Also parents will still be able to drop off children in their rooms but if they can limit the time spent in the room this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for your help and understanding.

10.01.2022 Today we had our first bush kinder, the children loved exploring the new environment.

09.01.2022 Part one of our renovation to our toddler yard has been completed. New turf has been installed, the children have loved rolling and playing on it and have all commented on how soft it is. We have other projects to complete our new look which will be completed in the coming weeks.

09.01.2022 This coming week is National Science week, educators have planned some great activities for the children at the service. We will also be sharing activities families can do with their children at home via Storypark and Facebook.

06.01.2022 NAIDOC week 2020. The activities offered to the children through out the service taught children about indigenous Australians through a fun plsy based form. The children enjoyed painting, drawing aboriginal signs, Dreamtime stories, singing, we also made damper and learnt welcome to country. We aim to embed cultural practices in our daily program and is something we are continually working on.

05.01.2022 Today our team of educators spent the day renewing and updating our First aid. This is done every 3 years and covers CPR, Anaphylaxis and allergic reactions, asthma, choking, diabetes and along with general injuries such as fractures, sprains etc. On a yearly basis we update CPR and Anaphylaxis.

01.01.2022 Recently our service has become involved in a program offered by Beyond Blue. We have become a "Be You" service through this program all our educators will be able to access online webinars, professional development and resources. This information will assist educators to care for their own mental wellbeing, the childrens and also some useful facts and resources for families. We are very excited and believe this program will be a great asset to our service and wider community.
