25.01.2022 Its been another big but rewarding week in the Goldfields region. This week we started to provide these great packs as part of our safe bathroom audits and also within the environmental health clinical referral program. Its really wonderful to be able to provide a personal towel (thanks Rotary), towel hook, soap, Sukin products and a hand and face washing sticker to householders at the same time as fixing minor plumbing issues. The AEHWs are so important to this work so we want to do a shout out to them! Also heartfelt thanks to the Goldfields PHU for donating these bags (we need more if anyone has spares lying around). A great week with great outcomes.

24.01.2022 Were out and about again!! Weve been busy following up on our Midwest projects carried out in August this year. Great results with minimal plumbing fixtures needing to be addressed. Plenty of soap, mirrors and towel hooks being provided to the community. We even had time to help out fixing other parts of the homes for the tenants as well. Plus some sight seeing after a hard days work.

24.01.2022 Planning is underway in Kalgoorlie to develop an environmental health referral system for the Goldfields.

24.01.2022 A great week working alongside the Aboriginal Environmental Health professionals and Housing Officers in a couple of Midwest communities. Lots of plumbing & safety issues identified and fixed!

23.01.2022 Its been a year since we piloted our community reciprocity project in Tjuntjunjarra. And we have been kicking goals ever since...with thanks to our funders, partners, the Aboriginal Environmental Health Practitioners and the WA remote communities! Looking forward to more great projects post COVID-19

22.01.2022 We came in for a coffee and cheesecake What a great program the School is running. The Goldfish cafe stop in and ask them how they came up with the name.

22.01.2022 Excited to be able to get back out to communities to promote face & hand hygiene and facilitate bathroom and laundry fixes with the local Aboriginal environmental health workforce. This week we have partnered with the public health unit, the EH Directorate, Housing and the Aboriginal corporations so stay tuned as we head to the Lands.

22.01.2022 We have been getting soap out to remote Aboriginal communities for the past 14 months, along with skills based hand & face washing programs for all ages and ensuring functional bathrooms. Its reassuring to know these communities have access to this soap and can wash their hands and face in their own homes, to stay safe. Heres some pics of our soap deliveries. We cant wait to get back out to communities!

22.01.2022 The #endingtrachoma team is working in the Kimberley this week alongside the local Aboriginal Environmental Health Practitioners, the PHU, Shire of Halls Creek, Dept of Communities and WA Health. The focus is on providing safe and functional bathrooms & laundries in remote communities. Great team work in a beautiful part of the world!

20.01.2022 The 10000 towels donated by Rotary have arrived after a COVID related delay! These towels will be part of our safe bathroom audits and environmental health referrals for trachoma in remote WA communities. You know its a true partnership when one of your funders helps to unload and stack boxes....and boxes....and more boxes! Thanks Rob, youre a champion.
