17.01.2022 To the outsider some of the game based activities we do in the clinic might seem like just that - a bunch of games, and not at all like what you may be expecting from a #neurophysio session! Task specific practice is really import in #rehab, but taking advantage of transference of skills, and strength is more effecient than training every skill individually... and it keeps things fun!

15.01.2022 Mr Bean dancing This arvo I was working with a client with #parkinsonsdisease. We have been focusing on improving his capacity to stand from a chair/bed/couch/loo (which was very slow and effortful). He had improved so much from his initial appointment, but was lacking the last bit of hip extension he needed to get into errect standing. Mr Bean's famous dance moves gave him the perfect memorable cue to facilitate full extension!... #parkinsonsdisease #neurophysio #makingitfun
