Dr Sinclair's study will trial using testosterone and other therapies increase muscle mass and treat malnutrition in liver transplant waiting list patients. "Malnutrition and muscle wasting is an extremely important area for research. We've found that at least 70 to 80 per cent of the patients on our liver transplant waiting list have malnutrition to begin with and they will only get worse while they're waiting. At the moment, we don't have any good ways to treat it." Dr Sinclair says. Also successful in receiving fellowships were Dr Eliza Hawkes, Dr Jason Trubiano, Peter de Cruz and Dr Ada Cheung.
