25.01.2022 All the places that endometriosis has been found in the body - everywhere except the spleen. {Please note that some of these places are extremely rare such as the heart, brain and lungs}. Most commonly, endometriosis is found on the ovaries, bowel, bladder and Fallopian tubes. This tissue responds to the monthly hormonal cycle and becomes inflamed and bleeds causing lesions to form on these organs. Over time, these lesions may form adhesions which can cause internal organs t...o stick together. I personally suffered from frozen pelvis in which my uterus, ovaries, bladder and bowel were stuck together. It caused pelvic pain, period pain, back pain, leg pain, fatigue, nausea and so much more. While there is no cure for Endo I can support YOU by working together to create a personalised dietary, lifestyle and pain management plan. If you or someone you know has Endo, please reach out as Im here to support you. Rose

23.01.2022 One of the most debilitating symptoms of endometriosis is pain. Chronic pain robs you of the freedom and life you imagined For many, endo pain may be constant and systemic (whole body) whilst others may experience severe pain only during menstruation. Often, the experience of pain may not correlate with the stage of endometriosis lesions as it may depend where the Endo is located (i.e. ovaries, bowel, bladder) and an individuals personal response to pain. There are ma...ny different types of pain associated with Endo such as period pain, pelvic pain, abdominal pain, sciatic pain, rectal pain and pain during bowel motions (such as constipation, burning sensation, difficulty passing urine and painful bowel motions). Others may experience back pain, ovulation pain, leg pain and pain during intercourse. Although endometriosis pain may feel different for everyone, there are a few common red flags to identify it from a bad period or digestive issues as its often misdiagnosed. Endometriosis pain is often chronic, that is, you may experience pain during your menstrual cycle and any other time during the month for an extended length of time. Secondly, the pain can be severe and pain medication may not provide comfort and thirdly the pain is consistent and often associated with heavy periods, pelvic pain, fatigue, iron deficiency, bowel issues, nausea and headaches. Most often, further investigation and Excision Surgery may be required to remove the endometrial tissue and adhesions. There may also be emotional pain associated with increased risk of miscarriage, infertility, loneliness, loss of trust, trauma and/or relationship issues. Chronic pain is complex because every pain experience is unique. So if youre looking for a holistic pain management plan, please reach out to discuss natural remedies which may help to reduce your Endo pain, which often involves trialing a few different strategies to find out what works for you. 22.01.2022 Finding the right foods to eat when you have an inflammatory disease like endometriosis is frustrating. One day youre bloated, the next day youre constipated and then suddenly youre running to the loo ... but youre not sure if its food intolerance, period pain, an Endo flare or severe inflammation because theres so many compounding factors So you feel trapped in a cycle of pain, discomfort and overwhelm. Food is either your worst enemy or greatest comfort. ... So the first step is to explore your relationship with food. Do you eat when youre emotional, bored, or in pain? Do you eat for comfort? What foods do you reach for? Are these foods that heal or trigger inflammation? Its essential to understand what foods are best for YOU. This may involve investigating your nutritional status, identifying nutritional deficiencies and creating a personalised meal plan. #endohealth I know it feels overwhelming. Ive been there too. And I wish I knew what I do now. Which is exactly why Ive created a wellness plan to help support you through the good, okay and not so good days. I know its hard. But Im here to listen. And empower you to live a more nourished life with Endo Rose ~ The Endo Nutritionist

18.01.2022 In these times of uncertainty its vital to focus on our mental, physical and emotional health. A few days ago I felt my anxiety escalate. I had terrible nightmares, tight neck and shoulders, heart palpitations and racing thoughts. .. So what did I do? ..... Firstly, I identified my source of anxiety which was constantly exposing myself to the news and social media which literally paralysed me with fear. Within one day of disconnecting from social media I noticed a massive change ~ I had more energy and felt calmer Im still keeping up-to-date with whats happening in the world. But rather then mindless scrolling/reading and watching distressing news stories for hours every day we now limit it to one hour per day from a trusted and reliable news source. We have chosen to focus on facts over fear. We are still aware, informed, educated, helping others and connecting with loved ones. Its just no longer dominating my thoughts and affecting my mental health. Please dont live in fear. Remember that stress and fear WEAKEN the immune system and triggers inflammation and while Endo is not officially classified as an autoimmune disease, it is, at the very least an immune disease. Try to focus on fun activities during this time of social isolation by nourishing your body with a home-cooked meal, play board-games, read a book, listen to music or podcasts, get out into the garden for some fresh air and sunlight, journal, move your body by doing online Pilates, yoga or gym session at home, watch a movie, connect with family and friends via phone, Skype, Zoom ... theres so much to do! Most of all, incorporate a few self-care rituals into your daily routine How did you practice self-care today? 18.01.2022 ! Its a new financial calendar year so can we technically claim its the beginning of a brand new year too? ? The first half of 2020 was intense!! Many have battled shock, trauma, grief, isolation, and postponed surgery combined with reflection, rest and deep learnings. Many have re-evaluated how they live their life. ... So its even more important then ever to create a - to support your health. When I neglect to take care of myself my health starts to rapidly slide. I know self-care is an overused buzz word but I share it with the purest heart and best of intentions. It encapsulates self-growth, self-healing and self-preservation and is at the core of the HEALING journey. However you package it, the outcome is the same ... a commitment to actively nourish, respect and take care of oneself. I recently shared - - (see previous post) and here is - - . Of course theres so many other activities to add but these appear to be the most common amongst the Endo community. Have a great day! Rose ~ The Endo Nutritionist

17.01.2022 Trying to work out what to eat with Endo can be overwhelming. I understand the fear and frustration as Ive been there too. It can be difficult to navigate the information, so its good to see more studies researching the relationship between endometriosis, inflammation and diet #endodiet As a whole body inflammatory disease, endometriosis causes chronic pain, swelling, inflammation and immune system dysfunction. When tissue similar to the lining of the uterus (endometriu...m) grows on other parts of the body such as the ovaries, bowel and/or bladder, it responds to the menstrual cycle and bleeds causing inflammation, lesions, scar tissue and adhesions. So one of the most important goals in helping to manage Endo is to reduce inflammation #manageendo Research suggests that consuming an anti-inflammatory diet high in antioxidants may support patients to reduce inflammatory markers and symptoms. An anti-inflammatory diet includes a wide variety of colourful fruit and vegetables such as broccoli, cauliflower, blueberries, tumeric, ginger (plus more)! It also includes quality protein, healthy fats such as avocado, foods high in omega-3s such as salmon, chia seeds, walnuts and almonds. Some scientific studies also show the benefits of a gluten-free, dairy-free and low FODMAP diet. Has an anti-inflammatory, gluten-free or dairy-free diet helped to reduce and/or manage your Endo symptoms? If yes, please share your journey! Please note that I fully acknowledge that EVERY body is different so what works for one may not work for you. Rose ~ The Endo Nutritionist

17.01.2022 Living with endometriosis can have a huge impact on your emotional health. For me, the chronic pain and frustration of having Endo increased my anxiety and in return my stress and anxiety amplified the severity of my pain, inflammation and Endo flares - so its a vicious circle. Hands up if you suffer from #endoanxiety Research shows that people with endometriosis report high levels of anxiety and depression which is often linked to chronic pelvic pain, period pain, heavy p...eriods, sciatic pain, lower back pain, leg pain, pain with ovulation and intercourse, fatigue and digestive issues. When your whole body is in constant pain its difficult to sleep, function or think clearly. For many, Endo reduces your quality of life and may trigger emotional distress of low self worth, loneliness, lack of confidence, shame, failure, disappointment in your body and issues of not feeling heard, lack of support from loved ones, needing to cancel plans, not being able to plan ahead. It may affect sexual intimacy and compromise relationships with partners, friends, employers, work colleagues and so much more. Anxiety can look different for everyone - it may present as excessive worry, intrusive thoughts, heart palpitations, sweaty hands, headaches, overwhelm, brain fog, disrupted sleep, confusion and fatigue that impacts your daily life. The foundation of my endometriosis treatment plans include managing and reducing pain, increasing energy levels, nourishing the body with nutrient dense foods, improving quality of life and most importantly to reduce stress and anxiety. Research shows that stress weakens the immune system and we know that Endo is an inflammatory disease caused by immune system dysregulation and Gut Dysbiosis. So we need to support the immune system which includes managing stress and anxiety and restoring gut health because over 80% of the immune system is located in the gut. If you want help to manage your Endo, reach out for a free connection call by sending me a DM. 14.01.2022 Its been a while since I posted on this page as I decided to have a social media break. Often the best medicine is to disconnect to reconnect. I found myself spiraling in the death scroll too many times which is a dangerous vortex to get trapped in! Ive seen so much hatred, abuse and aggression on social media this year, most likely fueled by the heaviness and darkness of world events. Unfortunately, fear breeds fear. So I want to remind everyone that this is a safe spa...ce with zero tolerance to bullying, racism, hatred and/or discrimination. This includes nasty comments about any health professionals. We need to understand that just because something didnt work for you, doesnt mean it hasnt worked for others. Endometriosis is a complicated disease. Every presentation is unique and what works for one may not work for another. Some people may experience significant relief and reduction in bloating and pain from a gluten-free or dairy-free diet, while others may not notice any change. Some feel relief from hot water bottles, the tens machine or yoga. While others dont. We will create a personalised and individualised plan to support YOU on your journey. Im here to educate, inspire and empower you to live a more nourished life with Endo through food as medicine, mindset, mindful movement and self-care rituals that are specifically tailored to you #personalisedplan Rose ~ The Endo Nutritionist

11.01.2022 Are you incorporating self-care into your daily routine? When you have an incurable and inflammatory disease like Endometriosis, the practice of valuing and prioritizing your health is more important then ever. When youre in pain, suffering a flare-up or fighting fatigue, the act of dedicating time to support your physical, mental, emotional and spiritual growth is essential for self-healing. ... Self care doesnt need to be time-consuming or expensive, it can simply include daily rituals such as reading a book, practicing gratitude, meditation or mindfulness, connecting with loved ones, enjoying an Epsom salt bath, diffusing essential oils, enjoying a walk and ensuring you get enough rest. Today I pampered myself and enjoyed the most luxurious and divine facial Heart Space Beauty with the beautiful Rachel What have you done this week to practice self-care? Rose ~ The Endo Nutritionist

11.01.2022 I dreamt of launching Endo Wellness for about 8 months before I plucked up the courage to do it! I was recovering from major surgery and knew in my heart that I needed to share my clinical knowledge and lived experience with endometriosis, Adenomyosis, PCOS and infertility to support and empower others. I often look for signs or messages before I make big decisions or embark on new projects and so each Monday for four weeks I pulled ONE card from the angel card deck at... Indigo Soul Wellness #angelcards And each week it was EXACTLY THE SAME CARD!!! The first time I intuitively pulled this card I was filled with love, joy, hope and happiness #itspoketomyheart Passion & Purpose ~ Your enthusiasm gives you energy and motivation to work on a meaningful project thats dear to your heart #soulspeak The second time I pulled this card I was like wow what a coincidence, thats so cool #serendipity The third time I was like no freakin way?!! What are the chances?! This is craazeee! #lookingovermyshoulder The forth time I TOTALLY freaked out!! Do ya think the universe could have screamed any louder at me? I was shaking and in that moment I registered my business name, bought my domain name and started this FB page I did it all before I was ready ... because how many messages from the universe did I need to get?! #shouldhaveboughtalottoticket So the moral of the story is to follow your passion and purpose. Dont let self doubt or lack of confidence dim your light. Dont let pain or Endo control your life or dampen your dreams ... Im here to support you every step of the way. Im so proud to be working in an area that lights up my soul. I love supporting clients to gain more energy, improve sleep, restore gut health and reduce pain #livingmypassionandpurpose Reach out if youd like to chat about how we can work together. 07.01.2022 Hi there! Im Rose, The Endo Nutritionist and founder of Endo Wellness. Welcome to the Endo Wellness community, a safe space to laugh, cry, vent, share, and most importantly, feel valued, supported and heard. Like you, Ive personally experienced the pain, agony and frustration of this insidious disease. I get it. I really do. For over a decade, Ive battled endometriosis, adenomyosis, PCOS and infertility. Following my recent excision surgery for Stage 4 Endo I vowed ...to learn everything I could about endo and not let it define me. In that moment, I knew my passion and purpose was to support others to live a more nourished life with endo. So Ive combined my own lived experience with Endo and my knowledge as a Clinical Nutritionist to create Endo Wellness. My aim is to share practical advice, self-care tips, factual information and the role of nutritional medicine in managing endometriosis based on scientific evidence-based research. We need more facts, more awareness and more answers because weve already experienced enough pain. I know its a challenging and uncertain time in the world right now. I wasnt sure if it was the right time to embark on this venture, but Ive had so many people with endo reach out for support due to increased stress and anxiety, which made me realise that now is not the time to hide. Instead, now, more then ever, we must collectively unite to support each other as best we can. We are stronger together .. .. .. 04.01.2022 Whats the best diet for Endo? I get asked this question often. And my response is always the same. The best diet is the one that is personally individualised for YOU As you know with endo, no two bodies are the same. And just like nutrition, one size does not fit all, as we are gloriously unique.... So its important to LISTEN to your body to understand how you react to certain foods. I ask every client to keep a food diary to record how they feel after eating to identify a connection with how food affects mood, energy levels, sleep patterns, digestion, bowel motions, and pain levels. While research shows the benefits of consuming nourishing, nutrient-dense anti-inflammatory foods high in antioxidants to help reduce inflammation and support immune system function and evidence of the benefits of a FODMAP diet, we still need to explore what personally works for YOU. So if youre an emotional Endo Empath like me I invite you to journey with me to strip back the layers because this is where the REAL healing starts. Feel free to send me a DM to connect! 01.01.2022 GRATITUDE The past few months have been overwhelming and emotionally exhausting for many of us. Our lifestyle, routines and plans have been thrown into uncertainty as we navigate unprecedented times. Some of us may have lost jobs, cancelled travel plans or had surgeries postponed. You may be enjoying a slower pace of life in your iso bubble or craving human touch and connection. During times like these its important to look for the silver lining and be grateful for the lit...tle things. Research shows the benefits of gratitude support emotional, social and physical health. Multiple studies have linked the practice of gratitude to reduced stress, higher feelings of happiness, less depression and improved wellbeing. I know that some of you may be in a tough place right now but I know when I was at my lowest point with severe deep pelvic Endo I wrote in my gratitude journal daily and it helped me see the light on dark days.
