By doing so, we help these families break the cycle of poverty that, without an education, is almost impossible to move forward.

15.01.2022 None of these children went to school until FTEN met them 4 years before now the children can read and write this is what we do we provide support when we can for those who otherwise will miss out on a chance of an education, even though covid restrictions have closed the schools in Nepal many children continue there education by them selves at home

12.01.2022 Great News for Nepal there lockdown has finally lifted after almost 5 full months. As of the 18th of August schools will reopen and we will be re-enrolling students to continue with there education. We are desperately low in funds as during there lockdown we supported the families of the children we provide education support. By sharing with each family of just enough money for the very bare essentials to help them survive through there very hard lock-in. If anyone is able to donate to help us get these kids back into school by the 18th of August would be gratefully appreciated. 12.01.2022 One of our past achievements Providing medical funding for a mum, who’s totally blind eye was perforating in the socket. If it was not removed she would have died. From donations we were able to pay all the medical costs required to remove the blind eye and provide her with a new prosthetic eye.

This little girl was abandoned by her parents she never had the chance of an education FTEN stepped in to help 2 years past. Still to this day we stay in contact with the carers. When we are allowed to cross town due to covid restrictions we visit to make sure the child is being cared for

Sunday September the 20th at The Fremantle Fibonacci Centre Doors open at 5pm These events are not to be missed - packed with a lineup of talented musicians, auction items from Nepal and India and a delicious menu of Vegan, Vegetarian and Gluten-Free items. The night will feature the talents of both Kavisha Mazzella as well as other accompanying musicians. Kavisha is an award-winning singer and songwriter. An ARIA award winner, Kavisha is known internationally for her talents. Her music is respected for its lyrical depth of multiple traditions and backgrounds, all with a deep spiritual touch. She will perform some of her beautiful music from her latest album Empty Sky Sacred Songs and Chants. We are also thrilled to have the musical talents of Julian Silburn,Charles Snelleksz-Mathelot, Bhavani Naea and Christine Morrison all sharing their sacred music. Who youre supporting. Freedom Through Education raises funds to provide children with the opportunity to access education in Kathmandu, Nepal. We provide ongoing educational support for 35 children including monthly school fees, uniforms and books. The families we work with face caste-based discrimination and prejudice. Due to the situation with COVID, these families are even more in need of assistance. The funds will be directed to our project manager in Nepal who assists us on the ground to ensure the children and families we support are well looked after. 10.01.2022 Hi, just an update: FTEN continues. Due to the COVID situation in Nepal, schools are shut for the time being. So instead of paying school fees for 32 students, we now give each of their families a small allowance to buy the basics of food and water.
09.01.2022 Namaskar to all, we have a name change. We are now called Freedom Through Education Nepal... We support Dalit families from both India and Nepal they are known as the Untouchables children and adults We dont desert them,we listen to them, we have eyes and we can see what is real and what is not. Education is key in breaking the cycle of poverty Education gives Freedom. We bring volunteers from crafts people to musicians. We provide education support and have children in four public schools. Providing education to these people in a society that would prefer not to acknowledge. We give these people a chance to escape from poverty by training in skilled labor.
