25.01.2022 A review from Mindy Davies (thank you Mindy). Warning - long post! For those not wanting to read, in short, Liversage offer a super friendly, old fashioned service and really (really) do care about helping you to find a good fit for you and your horse. No one wants saddle fit issues 6 weeks out from the Tom Quilty!!! It was going to be my mares first 160km event and 6 weeks out she really started to change shape. Suddenly a saddle thats fit fine for two years, is now a pr...Continue reading

21.01.2022 Good fun but not much luck was had for our team at this years Rotary Blackwood Marathon Relay (Western Australia). A runner, kyaker, swimmer, rider and cyclist make up a Blackwood team, with the horse section including 16ks of challenging hills. Most riders complete the course in under 50 -55 minutes, with the fastest riders taking around 30 minutes, so its a fast ride! With our good horse out we only had the loonie horse left! Unable to train her alone, I had to scratc...h around for people to ride with. Thank you to Linda Dix, Kathryn Knoll and Estelle Mundy for putting up with us We worked like Trojans for a month managing back, leg and tummy issues, when in the end it was her head that did us in. Unable to handle the excitement she bucked Jack off twice, godblessim he got back on a third time, but thought better of it when she got ready to rid herself of him again, and walked her back to the start. But at least they looked the goods! If only we got marks for presentation (and hottest saddle ) I spotted more then one Liversage saddle at the start, thank you Raylene Watson Photo credit Vince Evans See more

20.01.2022 Saddling up for 2020! As I drag a rather podgy and lack luster Shakira out of the paddock to begin the new year and our WA Tom Quilty Gold Cup 160km campaign (oh boy!), I reflect on last years legging up, culminating in the September WA State Championship 80km ride, in which we sadly vetted out at 70km due to a 'foot thing' (now where have I heard that before...). So now we must qualify before September this year, a big ask for a little horse (oh I do wish we had another year... up our sleeve!). However, perhaps with a little of that elusive luck and careful management we may just be able to squeeze through the gate, and we are riding in the best endurance saddles on earth, so I believe we are in there with a chance! This year we will be riding in the Liversage Enduro Light as my little tank needs the widest saddle in the range. It's looking and feeling fantastic so far! endurance photo credit Vince Evans See more

19.01.2022 South Africa's legendary horseman, Wiesman Nel, completed the 2019 Mongol Derby in second place! Owner of Moolmanshoek Private Game Reserve, Wiesman leads trail rides for guests through the reserve in Liversage saddles. Prizing the Liversage Kentucky saddle for it's ability to deal with the mountainous terrain, Wiesman has spent many hours on horseback which ultimately prepared him for the Derby. Well done Wiesman, you've done us proud!

17.01.2022 Greg Steemson (Liversage Australia) is with fellow Australian and experienced endurance riders Ady McIntosh, Melanie Scott, Stella Harbison (Harbison Feeds), and Priya and George Spencer along with Mariaan Liversage and others in Lesotho, near South Africa. They are about half way through a 7 day, 253km mountain climbing adventure! Lesotho is a high-altitude, landlocked kingdom encircled by South Africa, and is crisscrossed by a network of rivers and mountain ranges including the 3,482m-high peak of Thabana Ntlenyana The group will be riding in Liversage saddles, the saddle of choice of Weisman Nel, experienced horseman (who came second in this year's Mongol Derby) and proprietor of the Moolmanshoek Private Game Reserve, who will be leading the expedition

17.01.2022 Congratulations to Mindy Davies, who won the Lightweight division and Best Conditioned at the Queensland State Championships (160km) in September last year, riding in her Liversage Haboob. Mindy completed the Tom Quilty Gold Cup in a Liversage Sport Light the same year. Well done Mindy, a big year for you! Mindy on her grey mare...

12.01.2022 The schedule for 2020 Ekstreme Horse Trails is now out. There are 5 events scheduled, 3 along the Wild Coast (2 of which are already fully booked) and 2 in Lesotho. I can thoroughly recommend any of these. They are unique experiences. If you want more information, there are contact details on the schedule, or, contact me, Greg Steemson.

10.01.2022 Congratulations to Australian Emma Manthorpe for winning arguably the world's toughest horse race, the 350km Race the Wild Coast, held in South Africa! Sixty two horses, sourced from the legendary Moolmanshoek Private Game Reserve, owned by master horseman Wiesman Nel, are ridden by fourteen international and local competitors (four horses per rider). ALL HORSES ARE RIDDEN IN LIVERSAGE SADDLES. There could possibly be no greater test of saddle craft...

05.01.2022 The Mongol Derby. Here is a short video of the South Africans training for the Mongol Derby. We wish you the best of luck.... We are following your progress. #ProudSouthAfrican #MongolDerby #MoolmanshoekTeam

03.01.2022 Thank you Linda Dix (a brilliant body worker btw) and Xena for helping myself and the fussy Scarlett (Halimas Padrons Melody - chestnut) train for the Blackwood Marathon. Scarlett refuses to go out alone or to lead, so we had to rely on Xena to be brave. As it happens, being brave isn't Xena's forte, but she sure is a rabbit going up those Collie hills! But what a lovely pair of Arabian mares in their fabulous Liversage saddles, the Kentucky on Scarlett and the short Aussy on Xena The Blackwood is this Saturday, wish us luck!!! (we might need it ).

02.01.2022 These are once in a lifetime events and I can highly recommend them.

02.01.2022 Mmmm, the new sexy, well fitting and EXTREMELY light (1.4 kilos!) LL! ....Love Liversage

02.01.2022 Just in case you’ve ever wondered how many riders you can fit in a Kentucky...!!

02.01.2022 Such exciting viewing! Wild Coast

01.01.2022 Shoulder movement in slow motion. See how far the shoulder moves back, and where the tissue hits my leg. A VERY common area for restriction. Now imagine a saddle strapped on top of that.

01.01.2022 Just before the Darling ride I was sent the brand new LL saddle.being me I told Leon Liversage that people can only look at it. No riding. Kylon Liversage said ...he want asses in saddles, so I decided to grant his wish. I fitted the LL on Ki-Hara Ghaisan, a 6yo gelding, doing his 2nd novice 80km.needless to say, it was a super fit.Not many people will advise to change a saddle on this short notice, but I trust and believe in Leon and Kylon's concept. Ghaisan completed the ride with ease and his back was 100%. Tyla Setzkorn, my rider, enjoyed the saddle immensely. Hats off to the Liversage team for designing and refining this very functional, lightweigh top class saddle.pics to follow See more
