24.01.2022 **10 POSITIONS AVAILABLE for clean-up at Mangkalba (Cedar Bay) TOMORROW 7th November** To register please email [email protected] by 6pm tonight. Start... your weekend with an awesome adventure and join us for a clean-up of Cedar Bay in beautiful Far North Queensland. We will be departing Port Douglas at 6:15am on Wavelength Reef Cruises and returning at 5pm The trip is completely free and lunch/snacks will be provided. All you need to bring is sun protection, a water bottle, closed in shoes (as well as ones that can get wet!) and an adventurous spirit! We will be pulling marine debris off the beach and entering it into the Australian Marine Debris Initiative (AMDI) Database, collecting information used to track it and stop it at the source. Please note we will be moving in and out of the large vessel and dinghy, as well as walking a couple of km on the beach in hot, still conditions. A moderate level of fitness is required for this activity. We are asking volunteers to make their own way to Port Douglas, however we can connect you to other volunteers to carpool. Ngalba Bulal National Park is the traditional country of the Eastern Kuku Yalanji Aboriginal people, whose country extends along the coast to Mossman.

19.01.2022 Supporters of Endurothon Oz have decided to partake The March Charge to raise funds for Cancer Council Victoria in tribute to their father who unfortunately passed away in 2017 from Glioblastoma. Trevor Phillips was passionate about sport and encouraged his amazing family to keep active. Over the course of March the beautiful Phillip family will be running 450km in an incredible fundraising effort to raise their fundraising target of $500. Kieren began his fundraising with... a bike ride from Uluru to Melbourne in 2014, raising funds for Cancer Council Victoria. This is very close to our heart and any donations would be greatly appreciated. Thank you legends!

The tide will be hi...gh at 1610 and today's high tide will surpass yesterday's high that brought this pollution to the beach in Port Douglas. 12.01.2022 The Yarra Riverkeeper Association and Cleanwater Group are working together to mitigate the negative effects of litter and polystyrene pollution. At community c...lean-up events, volunteers and environmental groups have used kayaks to remove litter from large sections of the Yarra River. The clean-up events have also helped map litter hot spots and in identifying sources of pollution, with recommendations developed for future preventative action. 09.01.2022 We went to check out this refill station at Barkley Square today. This amazing machine has surface spray, dishwashing liquid and laundry liquid for you to refill your bottles.
