We have enjoyed providing children with the opportunity to connect with their gym friends, learn how to move their bodies and to have time away from the screen. 25.01.2022 Sending out a big THANKS to our amazing Energetic Community. Together we have had a successful start to Term 3, providing opportunities for local children to enjoy gymnastics and stay connected with their friends. We are fortunate that here in regional Victoria we can keep our doors open. We need everyone to keep up the physical distancing and hygiene practices. And, following the advice of the Premier today face coverings will be made mandatory in regional Victoria this week...end. We will be watching closely for further details about this announcement, but for now we will be guided by the face covering rules that apply to Melbourne. This means that; - All Energetic staff may be wearing a face covering - All gymnasts aged 12 and over will be required to wear a face covering to and from gym and have this with them during training - We believe that during strenuous exercise gymnasts can choose to remove their face covering - All parents and guardians will be required to wear a face covering when they are dropping off or collecting their children from gym - Gymnasts under the age of 12 may chose to wear a face covering but do not have to We will provide more details in the coming days if there are any further updates from Victorian Government about face coverings in regional Victoria. 24.01.2022 BIG NEWS... It's almost time for INDOOR gymnastics classes to resume! Based on the announcement from the Victorian Government today, our indoor class timetable will begin on Monday 2 November.... This news has been a long time coming for Latrobe Valley families and our gymnastics club community who have been doing the right things to keep everyone safe and healthy throughout 2020. We are already working hard behind the scenes to understand exactly what the new rules are to ensure our indoor classes are COVID Safe and to understand what this might mean for our November and December class timetable. Anyone participating in our Term 4 outdoor classes will automatically roll over to our indoor timetable. Anyone that was participating in our Term 3 indoor classes will be given priority access to a place in our program for the remainder of 2020. And, if all goes to plan, we may even have room to welcome new children to our club who have well and truly earned the opportunity to socialise with other children, move their bodies and have some fun! 21.01.2022 We had a fantastic week last week, so much fun in the gym and everyone was doing their bit to keep our club and community COVID Safe. Seven more weeks of gymnastics until the Summer break. We still have some places available in Kinder Gymfun, Ninja Gym and Gymfun. New families are welcome, children of all ages, genders, cultures and abilities are welcome. 20.01.2022 OUTDOOR CLASSES BEGIN TODAY Places are still available, please message us for more information. We are excited to be offering gymnastics classes again from the beginning of Term 4 which will run from Monday 5 October to Friday 18 December.... Due to current restrictions, Term 4 classes will begin outdoors on the grassed area opposite our facility on Dunbar Road. We have a modified class timetable for these outdoor classes. We can't wait for the Energetic team to reunite with our gymnasts

19.01.2022 Well here we are again. Today the Victorian Premier announced that regional Victoria is going into a Stage 3 lockdown which means that community sport will be put on hold for a while. It feels a bit different this time. ... It feels familiar, as we have all been through this before. It feels disappointing that we have to close our doors for a little while. It feels frustrating, that due to the behaviours and decisions of others, our community, club and family business is being impacted in this way. It feels reassuring, that we have a much better understanding of the COVID-19 numbers in our community than we did in March and that we are all equipped with the knowledge and skills to protect ourselves and our families. We know what we need to do. It feels a little less overwhelming, in that we already have our club policies, systems and schedules in place for when the time comes to re-open. We have done it before and we are ready to do it again as soon as it is safe to do so. In the meantime, we are simply going to press the pause button and put everything on hold. We had a great start to Term 3. We are grateful that everyone was so supportive of our COVID Safe rules. This meant that all of our children had the opportunity to socialise with their gym friends and enjoy their gymnastics classes in a safe and healthy environment. We plan to finish Term 3 the same way it began - in the gym! We have ambitiously pencilled Monday 14 September into our calendar as the day we can open our doors again. We know this will not be our decision to make and we will adjust our plans if we need to when the time comes. Until then we will do everything within our control to play our part in protecting ourselves, our family and our community. We hope that you and everyone else in Victoria will do the same. We are going to finish 2020 on a positive note with seven weeks of high energy fun-filled gymnastics classes. We are offering indoor Kinder Gymfun, Gymfun, Street Gym, Ninja Gym and Squad Gym. In our classes children can socialise, move their bodies and develop their minds.... Our fully equipped gymnasium has wall-to-wall safety matting, a balance zone, swing and hang zone, sprung floor, climbing ropes, trampoline zone and foam pit. Every year the Energetic Cup attracts gymnastics families from across Gippsland and beyond. We come together to celebrate our sport and create a fun and positive atmosphere for gymnasts to perform their skills and build their confidence. 04.01.2022 Hello Latrobe Valley Families, On the weekend the Premier released a reopening roadmap for regional Victoria. We are working as quickly as we can to understand what this means for community sport and our gymnastics facility in Traralgon. From what we understand so far it looks like we will be able to start running some gymnastics activities again when regional Victoria reaches Step Three in the reopening roadmap. Based on the numbers and Government announcements this week tha...t might not be too far away. If we can, we will deliver school holiday activities and if we can't we will be back as early as possible in Term 4. We are really looking forward to reconnecting with our club community and supporting local children to socialise with their gym friends, get their bodies moving and have some time away from the screen. We will of course, ensure that the club creates a COVIDSafe environment and complies with all of the government rules. So, please hang tight for now and as soon as we have confirmation about what we can do and when, we will be in contact. We hope to see everyone back in the gym soon!
