There is another variety that is an introduced species/weed (Commelina benghalensis) and the lower petal is typically smaller, whilst this variety has three petals of equal size. 10.01.2022 Aloe; (Aloe vera & Aloe ferox) Just over a week ago in the world of those that follow Wicca, Lammas was celebrated in the Southern Hemisphere I found it interesting Aloe Vera was a recommended herb for this time, and coincidently enough on the morning of Lammas I had found one of my Aloe leaves had broken, and it was just calling to be harvested. Earliest document use found this plant dated back to 1550 BC, and has accompanied us for a long time and held in high esteem. A ...necessary item in herbal dispensaries. Aloe can signify to slow down, and allow yourself to regenerate. Stop to smell the roses and notice where we allow our energy to leak and deplete. Find comfort and soothing within the resin of this herb, but also recognise its thorns to positively protect ourselves and maintain healthy boundaries. Energetically, this herb assists to bringing the fire to earth as if it is feeding into the Solar Plexus and supporting the Heart Chakra.
