25.01.2022 In April 2020, Energus completed Australia’s first #COLA solar installation at the Gordon West Public School. COLAs (Covered Outdoor Learning Areas) have ideal sun exposure for solar, but cannot bear the weight of conventional glass panels. Energus completed the 31.7 kW Gordon West system with eArc - a glassless panel manufactured by #SunmanEnergy. These new generation of lightweight modules are an innovation combining crystalline silicon #solarcells with Sunman’s patented co...mposite material. This composite material has the durability and robustness of glass, without the weight - eArc weighs only 30% of glass modules. Unlike glass modules, #eArc requires no mounting equipment during installation. Instead panels are glued to the surface with adhesives. Compared to glass, eArc reduces installer time-on-site by 40%. 18.01.2022 Australias latest greenhouse gas figures released on Friday show national emissions fell slightly last year. This was by no means an economy-wide effort solar and wind energy did most of the heavy lifting. Here are 10 reasons why renewable energy makes perfect sense for Australia. 1. It can readily eliminate fossil fuels 2. Solar is already king 3. Solar and wind are getting cheaper... 4. Stable renewable electricity is not hard 5. Theres enough land 6. Raw materials wont run out 7. Nearly every country has good sun or wind 8. We will never go to war over sunshine 9. Solar accidents and pollution are small 10. Payback time is short See more

12.01.2022 The Coonamble feedlot is located in the central-west of NSW. Energus designed and installed a ground-mount solar system to combat the spiralling electricity costs in the rural area. The Energus team conducted a geotechnical report to ensure the stability of the ground mount system. When this was complete the supporting poles were driven and trenches dug to run cables back to a switchboard location. Energus completed the 99.84kW Coonamble Feedlot #solar system with 4 ground m...ount structures holding 78 #Trinasolar panels each. The production curve of this system was best matched to offset the maximum amount of usage from the feedlot and deliver highest return on investment. In year 1 alone this system is set to deliver savings of over $15,000 to the feedlot and over $500,000 over a period of 25 years. #projectmanagement #commercialsolar #solarenergy #renewableenergy #greentech #engineering

11.01.2022 #safeworking Energus is a risk adverse company. When you choose Energus, you're choosing experts that are held to high standard of work safety. Anyone from Energus who enters a roof are trained to work at heights safely and hold current working at heights licenses along with construction white cards. All commercial roofs hold their own safety challenges with consultation with management and our highly skilled installers (all stakeholders). Energus will develop a site specifi...c safety management plan. This management plan has to identify all the safety hazards and risks identified on the roof. A risk register is created. Falling from a roof is a real risk. Working at heights is classified as high risk work. Some ways of lowering risk, barricading skylights with metal mesh or fencing them off, installing edge protection safety rails. These are best practices as they eliminate the risk of falling. Wearing fall restraint harness when working within 2mtrs of a live edge is the minimum, if harnessed correctly you should not go over the edge of the roof. Our installers are all trained on how to work from fall restraint harnesses by using proper anchorage and rope techniques. #Constructionefficiency #settingsafetystandards #staysafeatwork #staysafe #safeworkplace #workingsafely

08.01.2022 In the wake of Covid-19 it is more important than ever to accelerate Australias energy transition. Researchers find that the power of the fossil fuel sector, exercised at a grassroots level, must meet a compelling counterpart in the social benefits conferred by the renewables sector on local economies.

08.01.2022 Glass shortage has put a strain on the global supply of photovoltaic modules. While this strain is expected to recover by the end of Q2, there has been increased interest from the market in alternative technologies, such as eArc. Market-proven module technologies, glass or glass-free, have a big role to play as we work towards carbon neutrality.

04.01.2022 The NSW Government has looked 30 years into the future and seen a possible scenario where consumption and energy use does not simply mean sending more carbon into the atmosphere. If we all are incentivized to change our habits today, by 2050 the Department of Planning Industry and Environment is confident the state can meet a target of net zero emissions.

01.01.2022 Energus installed a 90kW #commercialsolar system @Balgowlah RSL in March 2020. The system will generate an average of 315 kWh of electricity per day. Over a period of 25 years, the system will deliver over $400K in savings. Energus won the job while competing with 3 other solar retailers. The CEO of the facility, Hendrik Visser, described the installation as seamless and professional. Thank you for choosing Energus. Here are some reasons why solar is suited to RSL facilitie...s: #RSL facilities often have a consistent load due to constant air-conditioning, lights and refrigeration. This enables RSLs to offset usage across the 7 days of the week. Most RSL facilities have large roof and ground areas to install solar. #Solar futureproofs RSL facilities from rising electricity costs. This will lower operating costs and free up capital for RSL facilities to focus on core functions Solar helps RSL facilities minimize negative environmental impact and achieve #sustainability goals Contact Energus for a solar quote today: https://bit.ly/3fyUDm2 #Greentech #RenewableEnergy #GreenBuilding #commercialsolar Balgowlah RSL
