16.01.2022 Facts about stimulus for solar in the NT FOR HOME OWNERS We have had a high level of calls late last week about the NT government’s stimulus plan to help boost screwdriver businesses during the COVID-19 financial crisis. I have attached this link to help explain it better:... https://business.nt.gov.au/recovery Basically home owners cannot use the stimulus to fund a NEW roof top solar power system. Our understanding why this is the ONLy exemption is that the stimulus is in place to maintain jobs, and 75 - 85% of a roof top solar power system is materials and NOT labour. However a home owner wishing to consider a battery system can apply. Also a home owner with an existing system maybe able to use the stimulus to upgrade an existing solar system’s inverter. If you or someone you know has a system that is older than 4 years or so then they may benefit from a solar system upgrade taking advantage of the stimulus. FOR BUSINESSES The NT government’s stimulus is the same with businesses, but businesses are in a prime situation to take advantage of the Federal Government’s tax breaks. A business is able to purchase a solar energy system and claim it as a 100% tax write off. Previously a 30kW solar system or bigger was dreamed an asset and subject to normal depreciation rules. Hence now is an ideal time to get huge savings on power bills and claim the whole project as a tax deduction, saving thousands! Commercial solar systems are the most cost effective systems (even more than domestic solar systems). What an opportunity for businesses to save money off their power bills for years to come and save an extraordinary amount off the purchase as well! 15.01.2022 BIG NEWS!! Hi everybody... by now you may have heard the NT government’s announcement to drop the 1:1 feed in tarif. It was a sudden announcement made on Sunday. Initially any new applications for solar to Jacana and PWC would be on the new lower 8.3c FiT however they have now extended the applications until this coming Monday. If you know someone or you are thinking about solar yourself, get in touch with me and I can submit your documentation before the deadline. Installing... the solar does not need to be done just the documentation. This is the one and only chance to get and keep the best FiT in the country and in these times acting before the cut off date is needed. Message me here and I will be in touch shortly! 08.01.2022 Say hello to our new piece of equipment. A GEDA panel lifter! It is reducing fatigue, damage to roofs, the risk of injury, and time! After 4 days of use I couldn’t be happier with the aid it provides.
