21.01.2022 2016 has been a year of pain within the utilities sector. Large retailer electricty price rises in July had devastating effects on our most venerable. More than 50% of the state don't pay their bills on time. More than half of them fringe on default. An all state blackout was terminal for many SME's and large market customers. The average business in SA lost more than $5000. Our customers lost more than $743,000 in total from that one day. ... We have seen ridiculous price rises in the wholesale space and the short to medium forecast is far from optimistic with very little than hot air coming from our politicians. Today we have more than 115,000 homes without power.... thats more than 25% of the state without power. SAPN really need to sharpen up their process and reporting as well as their ageing network. In 2017 we will be working hard with our clients to provide them with quality advice and solutions to manage this turbulent climate. We will be lobbying government to do more than simply bullshit their way through this mess and we are determined to help business pay the least amount possible for electricty.
