25.01.2022 Did you know that your Gut Microbiome is literally a mirror image of what you eat? For example, if you primarily eat fruit and veg most days, your gut microbiome flora builds bacteria to breakdown fruit and veg. The same applies to whatever you eat. I have a lot of clients say to me that despite not eating healthy foods regularly, they don't have any issues with digestion (or pooping) and here's why. Your body accommodates for the food you eat. The bad news is that your b...ody is great at hiding your bad food choices, it just adapts. What does happen though is that your gut affects your brain and hormones, so fatigue, brain fog, moodiness, headaches etc become commonplace. Don't let your digestion fool you into believing that your body is ok with what you feed it just because your tummy feels ok. For some of you it might be a relief, for others a continuation of your current situation, depending on where you are in the world and for others it’s not a positive start to the year. We have been recording time since the birth of Christ (if you so believe) but time is really all it is. You can choose to add meaning to dates, days, years in a good way or bad. Our advice is just remember that wherever you are at is OK. It really is. In Buddhist terms, i...t means nothing and everything to see a new day begin. A new opportunity and a new fresh chance to see everything differently, the way that works. It both arrives and leaves. We are born and we die, it’s that simple. We love to complicate the middle part. Part of managing your energy is the process of both ‘un-complicating and learning’ on repeat. Bringing life down to the simplest terms, the basics, and focusing on them, wholeheartedly. I wish you all peace and prosperity in the hours, days, weeks and years to come. It’s easy (I know because I am superb at this) to get caught up in the stress and busyness of organising everyone and everything and forgetting why you are doing it. Take stock, allow yourself the breathe and settle. Take re-set breaks little and often. Gratitude and breathing. Be the example and have an awesome Christmas and holiday period

14.01.2022 Creating a Bubble for yourself and loved ones is more than OK if you need it. In our ever changing environment, it’s sometimes tempting to want to take all of your loved ones and put them inside a bubble with you. Shut yourself off from the noise and live a quiet and peaceful life. We are surrounded by voices that tell us to 'speak up', 'get involved', 'have a view' and participate in a multitude of areas of life. In our experience, this can indeed be liberating, but it can... also be exhausting and stressful. Being an advocate and a participant in your life is very important, but not at the cost of your mental and physical health. I have had many clients talk about wanting 'get away' from all of the noise and retreat with their families off grid, to escape the bedlam of life. Grow their own food, live off the land, embrace simplicity. Cut off from the media. I get it. When you are trying to hang in there and manage absolutely everything you need to manage out there in this crazy noisy world, it can feel so overwhelming, you just want to shut down, escape, read a fantasy Novel, reach for something to help you escape. Anything to shut out the sound. Building a world for yourself and your family that works for you isn’t such a bad idea in fact. Sometimes we need boundaries. Sometimes we just need it all to stop and be quiet, so we can hear ourselves, concentrate on something for a moment. Sometimes we just need to keep it simple. And thats hard to do in a deafening world. I call it a ‘recovery bubble’. Building a recovery bubble can keep you from melting down or burning out. It can keep you controlling a small number of factors that stop you from tipping over the edge. It can help you build closer connections rather than opening up a whole world of acquaintances. It can lead to appreciation and gratitude. It doesn’t need to be forever. It can be just long enough to feel whole again and until you are ready to open up. So if you feel the need to create a recovery bubble for yourself, do it. Communicate it and do it. Create a bubble thats just yours, where you can create a life that serves you and nurtures you. Create a small accountability crew that have your back with your decisions, keep you safe and honoured. You can open up that bubble anytime you feel ready. Whether thats, days, weeks, months or even years. This is your time. Now more than ever. #Energyhealthince #recoverymindset #recoverybubble
