18.01.2022 Have you recently purchased a submersible water pump online from overseas? A number of submersible pumps have recently been found to be electrically unsafe and ...have been recalled. Check the model of your pump if it’s a Wacwagner 1HP, 1.5HP or 2HP model submersible bore pump, stop using it immediately; the pump is designed for use in bore water wells and has no earthing connection to the pump, leading to a significant risk of electric shock. Take care when purchasing online electrical equipment as it may not comply with Australian safety standards. Queensland Fair Trading provides some great advice for buying safely online: http://ow.ly/vlLt50jGwFS
