10.01.2022 Is your fusebox looking a bit long in the tooth and outdated? Not only are ceramic rewireable fuses old, they also don't offer the protection that modern RCBOs (RCD/Circuit Breaker Combination Unit) offer. A rewireable fuse offers protection to the cabling that is connected to it only and is very slow acting. In some case, especially if it has been rewired with the incorrect fuse wire, cabling can get hot enough to melt and cause fire....
