25.01.2022 Well done to all our BLAST Award winners, names announced via our ZOOM assembly. If you didn't get a wristband don't worry, there's always term 4!

25.01.2022 5/6T ended their term with an EGGciting Egg Drop. Take a look at some of the engineered designs! Most survived our little drop but we only had two ultimate winners surviving the one storey fall! Check out some videos in the comments section.

23.01.2022 Stage 1 have been learning about pets throughout Term 3 in class and during Library time. This activity, organised through Burwood Library may appeal to our young pet or would be pet lovers.

23.01.2022 Stage 2 have been getting in touch with their creative side. They have learnt much about Australian Geography as well as Jandamarra, an Aboriginal leader. 34B/T loved creating their onomatopoeia posters and 34A had a ball creating catapults and hauling their oshies across the room in a length lesson. Well done, boys and girls!

23.01.2022 Want to know what's hot on the bookshelves this year? Grab a cuppa and enjoy the conversation.

20.01.2022 Our energetic, dynamic and supportive principal Mr Wratten was rewarded with a lovely surprise recently from our Director of Educational Leadership, Ms Maria Serafim. It’s not often we reward or even thank our principals who manage people, buildings, budgets, texts, emails and phone calls whilst maintaining a friendly disposition, courtesy and respect. At EPS Mr Wratten juggles all these roles superbly and still manages to fit in some time to play handball, basketball and ...take the odd photo of our beautiful students. He knows all our students, the staff and our community. He cares and leads and is committed to making our school the best school it can be. Thank you Mr Wratten. Could any other principal be excited about the 97 families who have already booked their student led conferences starting now? We doubt that! Well deserved JW

20.01.2022 Yesterday, Clare from Burwood Library attached one of the Fairytale Finders notices to a perimeter fence. Can you find it? Will you join the hunt? Remember safety first on your quest and young children need to be supervised by a grown up.

19.01.2022 Instead of a chocolate surprise this Easter, why not purchase one of these beauties from the CBCA 2020 shortlist. I can vouch for most of them. The younger readers category is very strong (Year 5-6) I especially enjoyed We are Wolves & A Book of Chance. The Early childhood nominations are brilliant and we are so excited for Liz Anelli (our mural artist ) whose book Dry to Dry has been nominated in the information category. Winners are announced ahead of Book Week Term 3.

19.01.2022 Year 6 Picnic Day at Burwood Park. Our picnic rugs are enjoying their trip to Burwood!

Thank you to everyone who came out this morning (especially our wonderful P&C!) to support our school. We wish everyone a safe and enjoyable break. See you in Term 2!

11.01.2022 'It hasn’t been easy, but look what we’ve produced!' Thank you to all our students, teachers, school staff and parents and carers who have made this a year to remember. See you next year for #FirstDay2021! #LoveWhereYouLearn *Posted by the NSW Department of Education*

11.01.2022 I scream! You scream! We all scream for ice cream! This term, Stage 1 have been learning about chemical changes. Now that spring has sprung, and we’re starting to melt in these rising temperatures, we think it best to cool off with a cold treat. In the latest scoop from 1/2D and 1/2M, please enjoy a few captured frozen moments of turning a sweet liquid concoction into ice cream.

10.01.2022 It's FRIYAY! To celebrate the end of Term 3 and our whole school Fun Day, Stage 1 have been playing games , having dance parties , watching movies , sharing a lot of laughs and enjoying their sausage sizzle and poppers . Thank you to our generous P&C for their hard work in preparing all the food to feed our hungry students. I think their smiles say it all!

09.01.2022 Stage 3 topped off the end of their Chemical World science unit on a beautiful (sun)dae afternoon by creating their own ice cream!

07.01.2022 Farewell Year 6 - great times, great memories and great friendships made. Be proud and confident as you enter Year 7

06.01.2022 Friday fun! Stage 2 STEM challenge: how can you design and build a load bearing tower that includes a suspended container?

06.01.2022 Congratulations to Mrs Jill Maurer for receiving a Strathfield Network Award for Excellence in the Office. Humble as always, Jill, who you all know goes above and beyond at all times, graciously accepted her kind words from Maria Serafim, Director of Strathfield Network.

05.01.2022 Calling all artists, and we have so many, start drawing today! Ms Sharpe is desperate for one of the boring blue walls in the library to be decorated by one of her favourite children's author / illustrator and what better way to do that by entering Puffin's 80th birthday competition. Read the terms and conditions and deliver entries to the library by the end of term. Fingers crossed everyone.

04.01.2022 Puzzling Puzzles in the library allowed Stage One students to practise their cognitive and emotional skills this week as they worked together to complete the designs and images.

04.01.2022 The Hello Lighthouse Show was a great success today with all grades participating in before and after activities. Thank you to all our families who paid on time. If you have not paid for the performance yet, ($5/student) please do ASAP Enjoy the snapshots and be sure to ask your children what they learned about from today’s virtual theatre experience.

04.01.2022 A couple of Stage 3 science homework projects are ready for display, setting the bar high... Ms White is very impressed. Here we have a house after an earthquake and A trifold presentation about cyclones. And In library lessons, students have been recounting their knowledge of natural disasters in comic format. So creative and so clever.

04.01.2022 Another successful carnival at EPS with everyone having a go! A fantastic way to spend the second last day of school. I’m certain there’s plenty of exhausted children out there this evening..

03.01.2022 Enfield Public had a farm, E-I-E-I-O, And on that farm they had... a lot of smiles, laughter, cute baby animals, zooper doopers, fun board games, rubber chickens, potting mix, spoons, eggs, lettuce seedlings, farmer craft, dancing and country music.... K-2 Farm Day 2020 was an absolute success! Please enjoy some of the happy memories we captured today :)

02.01.2022 Ms Sharpe loves recommendations which come from our readers at EPS. Thank you to HH for your strong support for a new series and a new author to grace our collection. The books haven't arrived yet but maybe some of our ripper readers will get hold of a copy as a boredom buster during the upcoming holidays.
