Luke first joined the club in 2012 as a 15yo with his twin Jesse, and over the years has grown and developed into a fine, responsible and respected young man. Luke has played good A grade cricket in recent seasons after winning the B grade bowling aggregate a few years back. ... As well as his efforts for Enfield, he represented SA Churches & Community Cricket Association in the U21's competition, has been a regular member of the SA ID side and also represented Australia in the Intellectual Disability side. Both Luke and Jesse continue to be strong role models and advocates for ID cricketers. 24.01.2022 ~ Wayne Burdett ~ Today we remember Wayne, who on this day 14 years ago tragically passed away on the field at the young age of 26, after a truly remarkable knock of 117. A talented cricketer and entertaining batsman who offered tremendous team support and a great knowledge of the game, Wayne joined us from the ATCO Cricket Club.... A stark reminder that life is precious, and every day is a gift and shouldn't be taken for granted. "Be hard, be confident and never give in." Thoughts are with Sandi today.

17.01.2022 AS WE pull stumps on 2020 at the midway point of the season, the club would like to take the opportunity to warmly thank all those involved in making yesterday an enjoyable and memorable occasion. Sincere thanks to Eyre Royals Cricket Club for the incredible flexibility, support and sportsmanship in allowing us to play two matches on the same day, adjusting the start times but most of all their respect and support shown to one of our most loved and respected life members, to... George Laoutaris for umpiring two games and of course to the Para Districts Cricket Association for allowing the matches to occur. Thank you to Adelaide Bounce-A-Round Jumping Castle Hire, mad hatterz parties and Tasha's Treats for their services - all well received. Most of all, thank you to Rob for your incredible passion, dedication and unwavering commitment to the club over the last 57yrs.. you've seen the club through good times and the darkest of times, often wearing multiple hats to keep the wheels turning. 2020 has been a difficult one, but we endure and through cricket we continue to connect communities. It was wonderful to see the diversity around the club yesterday - from age to cultural background and religion. Men, Women, girls, boys.. families. From our Enfield family to yours, we wish you a wonderful and enjoyable Christmas. Stay safe, love each other.. see you in 2021. #EverybodyLoveEverybody #RobImmortal

15.01.2022 AS WE draw a close on 2020 and get ready for the second half of the season, we throw back to 2014 and the Australian Churches & Community Cricket Association bi-annual Championships. The SA Churches & Community Cricket Association side led by Rose Parks Ashley MacDonald capped off a super week by claiming only the second title in the competition's history, first since 1968, defeating Queensland Churches Cricket in a nail biting final. Sadly, 2016 would be the last time the Ch...ampionships were played in Melbourne, with SA Churches & Community Cricket Association disbanding a couple of seasons ago. Enfield had maintained strong representation in these championships over the journey, life member Adam Gully the most capped Enfield player competing in 6x carnivals. Adam Gully - 2006, 2008, 2010, 2012, 2014 (), 2016 Adrian Watkins - 1958, 1968 (), 1970 Brenton Mcewan - 2016 Chris McArdle - 1996 Graham Innes - 1964, 1968 (), 1970 Graham Manning - 1972 Graham Sandercock - 1982 Goldy Ghumman - 2016 John Glasson - 1958 Matt Bedgegood - 2006 (), 2008, 2014 (), 2016 (Captain) Matthew Feltus - 2006 Michael Marciniak - 1992 () Michael Feltus - 2006 Paul Wright - 2006 Phil Flower - 1978 (Team Manager) Scott Watson - 1988 Warren Mounsey - 1996

12.01.2022 U10 Match Report Mitchell "Michelle" not enough as young Craigmore give Enfield "Blues" Enfield 7/100 lost to Craigmore 7/110... Losing Ansab and Abdul for tonights game wasn't ideal preparation - but congratulations to their family on the safe arrival of a new baby princess! As a result, the side was reduced to 6, with Caleb and Chelsea also away - a phone call was made and young Ethan made the step up from U8.5s for his first game for the U10's. With only 5 players present at the toss, Craigmore sportingly elected to field first, and Mitch accompanied Alexia to the crease. The two battled to negotiate the tight Blues bowling, and looked a little off, before Alexia found her groove and raced to a team high 12 runs. Through the middle part, the side struggled for scoring opportunties as we scratched towards a total. Ethan came in at 4 and scored exciting runs, showing great promise before Anshnoor proved to be a saviour to close out the innings with his highest score of the season - 10. In reply, Craigmore jumped out the blocks - a wayward Mitch sprayed a couple, and the openers pounced on some balls.. both batsmen racing to double figures. Young Ethan proved to be the find of the night, bowling tight lines and slowing the run rate significantly and when Alexia finished with 2 overs 0/2 the side was back in the hunt. Abdullah continued to improve in his bowling and was amongst the most consistent with 3 overs 1/9. Unfortunately a critical late partnership led by Tyler (Craigmore) with a game high 19 saw Craigmore creep past the total. Mitch bent his back and bowled with good pace and accuracy and was rewarded with match figures of 5/19. Game was played in good spirits and the young group continues to improve each week. Thank you to Craigmore for coming out and Ethan for stepping up from the U8.5s. #SACAreconciliation
