16.01.2022 Please read below for more information.... Dear church family, Last Sunday, God blessed us with a full house at Morning Church - praise God. It was wonderful to see many people back for the first time! But it meant there were no seats left, given our COVID limit of 100 people in the building. We needed to have an 'overflow' of people watching the livestream together in the Office - a big thanks to everyone who did that!... It's now time for yet another change, as we need 2 physical church gatherings from this week on Sunday morning. The plan is: (1) A NEW Morning Church at 9am (+ kids onsite & youth offsite) This will cater for our families with young kids, or a mix of primary school and high school kids. As each family often ends up being 4 or 5 people, you can see it only takes 20 families to reach our 100 person COVID limit! In fact, as we need to count all the kids leaders, it's even less than that! Families will sign in at the main foyer door, and exit using the side hall door. (2) A NEW Morning Church at 10:45am (+ youth onsite) This will cater for all our adults without kids, and families with only high school aged kids. Members will sign in and exit using the main carpark entrance. What will it feel like? Both churches will have the same program and preacher, with different prayers and bible readers. They'll be many people you recognise, plus some new faces to say a COVID-hi to. How do I decide where to go? In the past, you may have chosen your morning church based on the convenience of the time! But now, given the unusual times we are in, it would be very helpful, if possible, if you could follow the suggestion above. We know not everyone will be able to do this, but you can see from the numbers above, that running a church with kids program quickly reaches the limit! So ... - If you have young kids, or a mix of primary school and high school kids -> could you come to 9am? - If you come to church without kids, or just have high school kids -> could you come to 10:45am? Thank you in advance All change is hard, and takes energy, especially when many are feeling COVD-depleted. However, it is a joy to serve our Lord together, and as we know from Daniel, making costly decisions for his eternal kingdom, is always worth it! "For he is the living God and he endures forever ... he has rescued Daniel from the power of the lions" (6:26-27), and he has rescued us from sin and judgment, through the Son of Man, our Lord Jesus Christ.
