We have also implemented a range of... increased cleaning and hygiene protocols which include; Hand sanitiser stations. Equipment sanitising stations. Social distancing signs. Plus we will be implementing our stringent cleaning protocols across the day. We are also asking you to do your part by; Washing your hands or using hand sanitiser before and after you train. Using a towel on all equipment. Wiping down the equipment after use. Practising social distancing, and; If you are not feeling well, remembering it’s OK to skip a training day! 12.01.2022 A letter provided to the club from Jenny Ward in response to all the kind words relating to the passing of Life Member, Pete Ward. To everyone at Engadine Dragons Cricket Club, Jonathon, Daniel, Amber, Chanel and I would like to thank you very much for the beautiful flowers and all the warm and thoughtful sentiments you have given us for the untimely loss of our much loved Peter. We are all devastated and in total disbelief but they certainly help and are very comforting. We... have a lot of cherished memories because of Peter’s and our boys’ involvement in our club with our summer families. There are too many people to name but are always in our hearts. Love Jenny. 11.01.2022 *** STAFF WANTED *** Due to the new Government restrictions on gyms taking effect this weekend (from Saturday 1st August), we are looking for new staff!! The ro...le will be "Covid Marshal" ensuring all members are sanitising their hands on entry, wiping down equipment, using towels throughout their workout and ensuring that the highest standards of cleanliness is maintained during our staffed hours. It will include weekend and late night work. No experience required. Would suit juniors, students or anyone after some extra money. Hours to be confirmed. Engadine was the most successful junior club winning 4 of the 16 premierships available. Congratulations to our 14A, 14B, 12A and 10E premiers. Commiserations to the 16A and 12B runners up. 07.01.2022 Peter Ward’s Funeral arrangements A celebration of Peter’s life will be held on Wednesday July 1, 2020 in the Founders Room of the Wanda Beach Surf Club commencing at 12pm.

01.01.2022 Vale Peter Ward It is with deep regret that we advise of the sad passing of Life Member Peter Ward on Friday 19th June 2020. Peter was a much liked and respected member of our club since joining the Dragons in 1995. He was always an active parent involved in his sons’ teams, whether it be coaching, managing or scoring. Peter served on our Committee from 1997 as Junior Registrar for 8 seasons, Assistant Secretary for 7 seasons and was the Club’s SSJCA representative througho...ut this time. Peter was awarded a Life Membership of the Club in 2008. Up until the last couple of seasons he had remained an active member of the Club organising our presentation trophies and raffles. I think this quote about Peter on our website sums it up On a personal note, he has always been a bloke to pitch in and help with various club duties such as packing kits, assisting at grading, helping with jacket fittings, booking accommodation for the Bradman day among other things. To Jenny, Jonathon and Daniel we extend our sincere condolences for the loss. Peter made a significant contribution to our Club over many years. We have lost one of life’s true gentlemen. We will advise funeral details when they become available.
