25.01.2022 Good turnout fellas, welcome to all our new players Riley, Kayne Bill Williams,Deacon, Mattias and Jackson to our club, welcome back to all returning squad with more to come back next week. Thanks to Chris for cooking the bbq and Mark & Ben for putting on a free feed and Dave for organising the free beers.

23.01.2022 Thankyou to all our players supporters, families, members ,volunteers,board, sponsors & Facebook followers. To think we almost could not field a side because of the covid pandemic. Yet in Lions spirit and mateship we managed to get just enough to, more and more came in the end we had a powerful formidable squad that just missed out on the semis of this years shortened season. Thank you to Mr Moana Taripo our awesome coach and Jonesie the strapper, team chef and Chris hall f...or running water also to Henno who helped out on the sidelines and all our awesome canteen people. We went down in a night game cliffhanger in our last game before a sizeable crowd straight after the Shute shield 1st grade at Forshaw against competition front runners North Cronulla Sea lice. Our scrum was very dominant and improved even more in the second half Rithik Sahay break and try was a high light, Tom Akaruru scored a fine try as did big Phil Falaniko pure power!! Final score 26-15 with our goal kickers a bit unlucky with the boot in the night. It was a great send off and party at our club rooms after. That’s what our club is about mateship and comraderie. As Captain Jace who had a solid hit out put it from his former New Zealand rugby rep coach, there is no lesser or greater among us we are one unit! Till 2021 thank you. See more

17.01.2022 Last Saturday Engadine Golden Oldies side hosted Burraneer and Oatley, for the Sydney Cup. We made an arduous decision to kept it local and the number of teams down to keep it more Covid Safe. More importantly all money raised went to club legend Jonah Ioana his wife Michelle and his family as Jonah bravely fights cancer, with many of his ex teammates and friends having a run in the game too. It was a great day thanks to all who organised it and who came to enjoy the occasi...on. The rugby game was great fun with some of the golden oldies sons such as Max Vardy making their debuts too and was well referreed by Adam Lysle. It was great to see Jonah do the second half kickoff soaring the rugby ball into the sky! Jonah enjoyed the game and mingling with with everybody. 15.01.2022 Engadine golden oldies have our Presentation day Nov 7th 1pm at the rugby club $30 per head including food & beer. All invited and the seniors are welcome too and hope we can celebrate a difficult season together. The fundraiser game raised approximately $2000 for Jonah What a great success! 11.01.2022 This Saturday 17th October, Engadine Golden Oldies over 35s will be hosting the annual Sydney Cup at Old bush road oval. with local clubs such as Oatley and Burraneer and Maybe the Wallopers Police team coming. Covid safe protocols will be in place and proceeds will go to support big Jonah (pictured) and his cancer treatment and family. Games start at 12:30pm till 3ish. Players in the Lions seniors side over 35 are welcome to have a game or two in the Golden oldies social team, come up watch and enjoy.
