19.01.2022 Back in July 2019 we applied 'Ferobide' to rotary hoe blades for a couple of Mulgrave farmers. We thought this application, if successful, would have great benefits to the local farmers. 5 months on, results have been outstanding. Not only has the 'Ferobide' survived the abuse in the particular areas we trialled it, it also shows the improved wear resistance that 'Ferobide' can provide in the right circumstances. 'Ferobide' can reduce spare parts costs, reduced maintenance and greater service life as seen in these results. 17.01.2022 We are currently undergoing trials with a concrete batching plant in Cairns, to try and improve service life on the concrete mixer 'bowl scraper'. Early results are showing a significant increase in wear life of the scraping edge due to our 'Ferobide' application, which is ideal in these circumstances wear 'sliding wear' is the issue. With the edge and corner of the 'Ferobide' enhanced scraper holding shape for longer, the additional benefit is that the mixing blades are als...o keeping shape, and not wearing as much, which increases effectiveness and also reduced maintenance costs. Check back to see the first photos of the scraper in use and the details of the trial to date. Images are of the standard scraper in place and also removed to ascertain wear areas. The 'Ferobide' scraper is complete and ready to start trial.

11.01.2022 Back in December 2019, we were asked to try and improve the service life of a mixer 'bowl scraper' for a Cairns based concrete batching plant. 7 weeks on, and both parties have some excellent results due to our 'Ferobide' enhancement. After 534 batches of concrete the leading edge of the scraper has worn 3mm at the worst point on the bottom corner. This wear tapers up to zero wear approx. 100mm from the bottom. The 'Ferobide' on the bottom of the 'scraper' have still approx. ...70% life left in them. With only minimal wear on the 'scraper', the outside concrete mixing paddles have also increased service life. Due to the effeciency of the 'scraper' cleaning the corners of the bowl and not allowing the concrete build-up that was an issue previously, our client has seen a major saving in maintenance costs in this area as well. Comments from our client "These paddles are about $200 each and this is going to be a major saving in maintenance costs. The scraper is performing above expectations." "since the scraper has been fitted and to have so little wear in that time is way above expectations. We are on a good thing and will be sticking to it." 11.01.2022 With a combination of 'Tungsten Chip' and 'Ferobide', we have been able to reduce certain aspects of maintenance this crushing season. We would like to take this opportunity to thank Anthony especially, for giving us this opportunity to help increase service life of certain wear components on his machinery. 09.01.2022 The solution to wear on haul out bins and harvesters. Photos show the huge difference in wear between typical wear strips on a haul out bin and the application of Ferobide to the same bend locations on another bin. Ferobide wear strips showed almost immeasurable wear as the typical strips were again almost worn through.
